Our South and Central team continues to make great progress on the Luton Station Access for All project on behalf of Network Rail.

All three lift shafts are now installed and bridge steelwork is advancing across the island platforms. The focus remains on completing the new bridge structure by the end of September, which will mark a significant milestone in the project.

Once the steelwork is in place, works will progress to fitting out the three lifts, completing the bridge interiors and renewing platform lighting, ahead of bringing the new accessible route into service.

Works have commenced this week on the Cleator Moor Community Hub, our latest project for Cumberland Council, which will transform the town library and former Credit Union buildings into a modern hub for public services, culture and community activity.

The scheme will see the existing buildings refurbished and reconfigured, alongside the construction of a new extension to link the two together. Improvements to the surrounding public realm and town square will also help create a more welcoming and accessible space for residents and visitors alike.

Andy Clode, Managing Director of our Construction Division added: โ€œWe are delighted to be working with Cumberland Council on this exciting new project in Cleator Moor. As a Cumbria-based business, itโ€™s really important that our town centres are revitalised and our public spaces are attractive places to live and visit. We are also looking forward to working with local communities and schools to deliver our social value programme alongside the project.โ€

is proud to have supported the design development of the proposed Wilton Rise Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge at York Central, with planning permission now approved for the scheme by City of York Council

This marks a major milestone for a project that will improve connectivity between the Holgate community and the emerging York Central neighbourhood, creating a fully accessible, step-free route for pedestrians and cyclists.

A fantastic milestone made possible through strong collaboration between Network Rail, MHB Consultants and the wider project team. Congratulations to everyone involved in helping bring the scheme to this important stage. ๐Ÿ‘

Working on behalf of Transport for Greater Manchester, our Story Track team has successfully delivered a major embankment stabilisation scheme following a significant landslip that affected the railway corridor.

Through collaborative planning and innovative delivery methods, the team installed more than 500 sheet piles, providing a long-term solution that improves reliability and helps protect the railway from future ground movement. The project was delivered safely and efficiently while minimising disruption to the local community.

๐ŸŽฅ Hear from Iain Watson and Matthew Donegan as they reflect on the delivering this important project.

It's not every day you get the opportunity to work on a site in London with more than 200 years of history ๐Ÿ”

Originally built in the early 1800s, South Dock formed part of London's thriving docklands and went on to become part of the Surrey Commercial Docks in 1865, before suffering extensive bomb damage during World War Two. Now, our South & Central team is helping prepare this historic location for its next chapter on behalf of London Borough of Southwark.

๐Ÿ“ธThese latest images capture progress on site, along with a recent visit from project stakeholders as work continues at London's largest marina.
