Steady progress on the straight axle 135. 🛑

We have been busy with the MF 135 recently, starting with applying some 2 pack high build primer to the front section, removing and fully refurbishing the injection pump to solve some fuel leaks, stripping down and resealing the rear axle, replacing lower link pins, trumpet gaskets, brake rod bushings, hub seals and differential bearings. We have also checked and cleaned the brakes, removed the steering box ready for rebuilding and sourced some new spares ready for building back up!

Plenty second hand oil in stock, £3.50 a litre. Grab it while you can! 😂😬

Here’s something not many people will ever get a chance to sit on, let alone work on!

We have spent quite some time on this machine recently, trying to resurrect back from sitting dormant for a few years.

Quite a list of work achieved so far, with a tad more yet to come. So far we have rebuilt the distributor, cleaned and tested the carburettor, created and fitted a wiring loom to suit, re torqued and checked valve clearances, checked engine timing and fixed up a few broken components.

Can anyone guess what make and model this tractor is? Bonus points for its job!

All done and ready for a trip back home. 🚜💨

This tractor came into us as a non runner, with a number of issues spotted almost instantly. We have since removed, repaired and refurbished a number of parts and have managed to bring life back into the old girl.

Now back up and running like a Swiss watch, Listen to that pump ticking away, perfection in a video!

Work completed includes an injection pump overhaul, all injectors refurbish and retipped, engine service, gearbox and rear axle service, hydraulic arms freed and tested, manifold replaced and a few oil and diesel leaks stopped.

SOLD

Manitou MB20 all terrain forklift. Starts, runs, drives, stops, lifts and steers exactly as should. Shuttle drive high/low gearbox. Tilt headstock, heavy duty pallet forks and a good 7ft bucket on quick attach brackets

Mast works very well, lifting weight with no issues to report. 2.5 tonne lift and will lift with ease. No sensors to worry about!

A great machine to have for a self build, or something reliable and cheap to leave somewhere and not worry about.

Powered by an International BD152 diesel engine. Very good running with some recent work done. (New water pump, heater plug upgrade and injection pump overhaul).

In most cases on a farm, the oldest tractor (typically the scraper tractor) is the hardest working. It will undoubtedly clock the most hours and is likely to be the least cared for.

Why not treat it to a tube or two of grease, a good hot wash, a spray over with some waste oil and maybe even a quick service!

It’s a perfect time when cattle are out, so what’s stopping you!

Who’s for a proper project?

We’ve just taken this 1952 Ferguson TED 20 tractor in as a part exchange. Lots of blood, sweat, money and hard work has already gone into this, it just needs finishing!

Work carried out to include a fully rebuilt steering box, bottom end rebuild (pistons,liners,crank), engine head rebuilt, new clutch fitted, front axle cradle bushed and repinned, brand new brake shoes, new PTO seal and bearing and new oil all round!

Good early start today, steady run down to Wales to collect an early model Ferguson TEF from a customer. 🚜

Into us to identify and repair some starting issues, rectify a few other problems and bring it back to being a correct little tractor. 🛠️
