In RDF, waste is already a big challenge; and at Manupackaging UK, we know your baling film shouldn’t be adding to it.

Using underperforming films can lead to breakages, inefficiency, excess plastic use, and costs – but all these problems are easily avoidable with our Ecoflex RDF baling films which are engineered to do more from the moment you start using it.

With advanced multi-layer blown film technology, Ecoflex delivers stronger mechanical performance than traditional cast baling films; meaning a higher stretch, fewer breakages, and reduced film consumption per bale without sacrificing performance, and designed for reliability at every stage.

Ecoflex is also 100% recyclable LLDPE film and lowers carbon impact being made with a minimum 30% recycled content and supporting cost savings through Plastic Packaging Tax efficiency.
With higher tensile strength and improved stretch performance, Ecoflex makes bales easier and safer to handle; keeping bale shape and structure to improve handling, transport, and storage efficiency while reducing H&S risks.

Its superior cling and tear resistance properties means Ecoflex helps minimise odours and leakage; while UV stabilisation allows for longer outdoor storage of waste bales without cracking or brittleness, helping preserve their calorific value.

Stop letting baling film be the weak link in your RDF process by upgrading to baling films that are not a load of rubbish - see how easily you can switch to Ecoflex by getting in contact today.

When it comes to helping our customers reduce the volume of plastic use in their packaging - that does not actually stop us suggesting and providing non-plastic options.

We have just launched 219 as part of the Manupackaging tape range – a Kraft paper-based, plastic-free tape alternative; but what is it that makes our tape different from other paper tapes already available?

Put simply, our paper tape has been developed to perform more reliably and be more resistant, especially comes to temperature and humidity fluctuations – things that are frequently experienced with long-distance transport or storage.

In cold temperatures some paper tapes can lose their tackiness through the adhesive prematurely drying out; while in hotter temperatures the adhesive melting also is a risk.

219 has been developed to perform without compromise in temperatures from -20 to +40 degrees Celsius – meaning that it also becomes a viable option for customers to reduce their plastic use where chilled management or storage of their goods is essential.

219 has also been developed to:
- Strongly adhere to dusty or rough surfaces and recycled cardboard.
- Resist material aging that can occur with traditional plastic tapes, allowing for better reliability in long-term storage.
- Be easily used and tearable by hand, yet be strong enough to be used with tape dispensers.
- Provide a better looking finish to packed cardboard boxes as its colour seamlessly blends in.

Whether you are manually packing by hand, or using machinery as part of your packing lines, we can supply and implement 219 into your operations to help reduce your carbon footprint.

Discover your potential opportunities for switching to reliable, durable paper-based tapes by getting in contact today.

This year's Earth Day theme is "Our Power, Our Planet" - and at Manupackaging UK we know real change does not happen in isolation.

It happens through collaboration, throughout the entire supply chain.

We work together to:

- Help our customers implement change and gain the power of better understanding of efficient pallet wrapping by encouraging reduce material use through supplying optimised films without any compromise on performance.

- Improve the sustainable sourcing by incorporating the use of more recycled content, and increase the recyclability of all stretch film products with our suppliers.

- Build smarter and more sustainable packaging solutions, by helping customers explore rationalised use and purchasing, and introducing the newest and most up-to-date wrapping machinery on the market.

We are not just responding to environmental challenges; we are partnering with our customers and suppliers to amplify our power to shape a more responsible packaging future.

If your pallets are not safe, neither are your operations.

We have always said that sustainability matters when it comes to wrapping pallets; but there is one other S word that must be talked about when choosing the right film... SAFETY.

Imagine you are in a busy warehouse and a pallet of wrapped goods collapses; products get damaged, operations need to stop, and people need to clean it up, before the pallet is rewrapped. Time, resources and damaged stock are the key risks here.

But what if that pallet is being moved about in a busy environment, or stored high up on racking, and the pallet collapses onto someone? Then you are risking injury; or worse, death.

An unstable pallet does not need to be moving to be dangerous - but using the right stretch film that offers sufficient load containment and stability, as well as the knowledge to wrap it correctly.

The difference between a safely-wrapped pallet and a dangerous one, is an informed decision and using the right film, and Manupackaging UK can help businesses take control of pallet safety through smarter stretch film solutions and expert support.

If you're not reviewing your load containment, do so before its too late for someone.

Let's take a moment to talk about balance when it comes to packaging in the present.

On one side, everyone is being more driven to reduce their environmental footprint, cut plastic consumption and increase recyclability.

On another, people are looking for their packaging products to be stronger and more reliable.

And on the last, people are finding ways of reducing their spend.

Balance matters whether you are wrapping pallets with machinery, or by hand.

An easy way to cut your plastic film consumption is to change to a thinner film - but go too thin, and you risk load instability, product damages, and rewraps... The result? More waste, unnecessary increased plastic use, and more overall costs.

If this sounds like you - then come and talk to us.

Balance begins with making smarter, informed choices; and this is where Manupackaging UK's STATS audits prove invaluable - we come to you, assess what you are wrapping, how you are wrapping it, and what you are wrapping it with to make informed, data-backed recommendations for changes that help reduce consumption, increase reliability, or reduce expenditure.

On a few occasions, we have even helped customers achieve results in all three areas of focus... Not by recommending the thinnest films, but rather the ones that are right for their application.

As much as we are helping customers achieve sustainability more easily by developing thinner, stronger films, and exploring new technologies for optimised sustainable film use, there is a lot more to consider than how thick the film is.

It's sometimes better to be Right than Light.

Choosing the right stretch film for sustainable pallet wrapping is only half the story - how you apply it is critical; and in most cases, for the greatest sustainability, we have to hand it to the machines.

While we understand there is a need for wrapping pallets by hand (and we do have customers who use our Pre Lite films as such fro this reason), we are seeing more people changing to machine-based wrapping in order to maximise sustainable film use and see greater cost savings.

Pallet wrapping machines offer:

- More consistent application, ensuring pallets are securely contained and remain that way using the right amount of film

- Optimise film consumption by stretching films to their optimal efficiency

- Faster and safer pallet wrapping, requiring fewer people and less manual labour

We do not believe machinery is a cost, but rather an investment at Manupackaging - when we suggest a machine change as part of a STATS audit, when implemented and run successfully, customers can often recover the cost of new machinery in as little as 12 months from offset savings from reduced film spend.

But at the moment, to help more people go from hand- to machine-based pallet wrapping; when you change to Manupackaging films, we will give you a wrapping machine for FREE!*

If you want to explore migrating to machine-based pallet wrapping, or stiwching to Manupackaging films, contact out sales team today on 01225 812200, or emailing [email protected].

Spring is on our doorstep, which means for farmers the first cut for silaging is right around the corner.

Unarguably, the first cut of the season is the most important, and sets the tone for the quality and quantity of silage for the rest of the year.

The first cut is when the grass is at its most digestable and fuller of nutrients that can boost milk yield or weight gain in livestock; and it usually delivers the biggest volume of silage.

Harvesting quality is one thing; but keeping and maintaining it is where our ManuAgri Blown films come into action.

ManuAgri Blown films are designed to help silage better retain nutrients and feed quality with ease of use and cost-effectively; from a high oxygen barrier thanks to multi-directional layering to being highly reliable and puncture resistant, and compatible with modern baling machinery.

ManuAgri Blown films help farmers reduce their overall silaging costs; from helping reduce the reliance on buying in feed to top up stocks, and concentrates and supplements to compensate for lost nutrients, to reducing film consumption through film engineering and reliable performance, to easier recyclability post-use.

If you are looking to create healthier herds and happier farmers, and want to incorporate ManuAgri Blown films into the supply process, contact our Agri sales team today in 01225 812200, or emailing [email protected].
