Staying safe on a construction site is essential, and there are a few simple ways in which you can improve the safety of your workplace. One is keeping your site tidy. Sounds pretty self explanatory, and for the most part, site inspections we carry out are super clean and organised. Reducing hazards will in turn reduce risk of injury - keep safe out there!

We argue that scaffolding is art - and we aren’t the only ones. There are some sculpturists who have used scaffolding materials to form some beautiful pieces. Check out this beautiful sculpture by Ben Long called ‘Horse Scaffolding Sculpture’, we think it’s spectacular.

By using a Scaffolding Association member, employers have that confidence that they are awarding work to contractors who have undertaken a rigorous assessment of their experience and capabilities.

So it’s a seal of approval on our quality of work!

Some people hear ‘Grade I Listed’ and shudder. Not GWC. Grade I listed buildings can be a challenge, that’s for certain, but they’re rewarding. It just takes that extra little bit of care and attention. Take a look through some photos of a recent project we completed at the St Clere Estate to assist conduct a full re-roof as well as repairs to chimney stacks and parapets.

One arm of GWC is GWC Assist. GWC Assist is an all-inclusive tender & design package service which is built to fully meet the main construction contractor requirements. We can act as a temporary works coordinator working closely with the main contractor, architect, structural engineer and other trades to help build a feasible access solution which is conscious of both programme and budget.
By identifying the correct sequencing of works, adaptions & advising where issues are likely to arise, we aim to identify solutions as early as possible. This helps to mitigate the risk of substantial extra costs and delays during the construction phase.
