The Yard and our Security partner Semper Security are on the hunt for an individual to join our team of community protectors located on our front door at weekends!

What we need from you:

🏳️‍🌈A Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
🌈Previous hands on experience of working as a Door Supervisor within the night time economy or Events Industry (Exceeding Two Years Experience).
🏳️‍🌈An understanding, compassionate, tactful and confident personality with un-disputable hostage negotiator skills. Chloe is living her best life dancing on our chairs believing she is third member of The Saturnos. Just like the status of Michelle from Destiny’s Child. Michelle who we hear you ask. Tell Chloe that you as well as everyone else knows exactly who she is but this is her night off from the public eye.
🌈The eyes of a hawk and the mind of Mystic Meg with the ability to predict and deal with an issue before it has even happened.
🏳️‍🌈A personality with as much bounce as Sammy’s fabulous curls…. and they are bouncy.

🌈 WHAT A DAY. WHAT A CITY. WHAT A COMMUNITY. 🌈

First and foremost — a massive, heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Coventry Pride for organising today. The work that goes into making a day like this happen is immeasurable, and Coventry is so lucky to have people who care this much. You made something truly magical. 💖

Today the streets of Coventry were filled with love, colour, pride and joy — and seeing this city show up for its LGBTQ+ community in such numbers was genuinely moving. This is what Coventry is made of.

We were so proud to march alongside Unity in Coventry, the brilliant Coventry Corsairs, our wonderful security partners Semper Security, and all of the incredible organisations, businesses, groups and individuals who came together today to make this parade what it was. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Thank you to every single person who came out today. Whether you marched, watched, cheered or simply stood on the sidelines and waved — you made a difference. Never underestimate the power of showing up. ✨

June is here and that means one thing — it's Pride Month, and we are so incredibly proud to be your home.

For over 8 years, The Yard has been a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community in Coventry. A place where you can walk through our doors and be completely, unapologetically yourself. Where you are seen, celebrated, and loved exactly as you are. That will never change.

As we head into Pride Month, we want to take a moment to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to every single member of The Yard team — our bar staff, our performers, and especially our incredible security team — who work tirelessly every single week to ensure that this space remains exactly what it's always been. A safe haven. A home. A place where hate simply has no place.

Their work often goes unseen, but it never goes unnoticed by us. They show up for this community every single time, and we could not be more grateful. 💙

To our community — you deserve to feel safe, celebrated and free every single day. Not just in June. Not just on the dancefloor. Always.

Proud to have supported the Coventry City Promotion Parade yesterday.!!💙🐘

Our team provided dedicated flank support to the moving parade bus, maintaining effective crowd management along the full route and ensuring a safe, controlled environment throughout.💯
