Some parts need a little more than a standard machining approach. ⚙️

Our 5-axis machining capability gives us the flexibility to tackle more complex components, machining multiple features and angles while keeping accuracy and consistency at the forefront.

We also recently brought a new Hurco Companies Inc. VMX30Ui into the workshop recently, taking us up to three 5-axis machines and giving us the room to take on bigger, trickier jobs without slowing anything else down.

You can't beat a morning on the Hurco Companies Inc. TM10i! ⚙️

Capable of turning components up to 450mm in diameter and 720mm in length, this CNC lathe has become a real asset to our workshop.

Its capacity and flexibility let us take on a wider range of turning work, while keeping production efficient and consistent, helping to move jobs smoothly through the shop floor.

We're pleased to share that we have successfully completed our ISO 9001 audit, with just one minor finding identified.

Our Quality Management System is what keeps everything consistent, traceable and under control across every project, from initial planning right through to final inspection.

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we will be addressing the finding through our Non-Conformance Reporting process and implementing a Corrective Action Plan to further strengthen our processes. 👍

CNC turning is a big part of what we do here at Algernon. 👍

No two jobs are quite the same, so having that flexibility matters, whether it's a single prototype, a one-off part or a batch running into the hundreds!

Our machines, including the Hurco Companies Inc. TM10i, play a big part in that, giving us the capability to work across different requirements and materials - including tougher alloys like titanium, Inconel and Hastelloy.

It means we can adapt our approach to suit the job, however complex it may be.

Please help this little man we are all behind Benny and his family. Best wishes and please give what you can

Benny is a happy and caring four-year-old. After completing treatment for stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma in March 2025, he sadly relapsed. His family is now fundraising in the hope that they can travel to Rome for CAR T-cell therapy.
