Congratulations to Staff Sgt Hannah Riding of the Argyll & Sutherland Battalion Army Cadets on receiving the Cadet Adult Recognition Award.

We were proud to sponsor this award and to help recognise the dedication, commitment and leadership shown by adult volunteers who play such an important role in supporting young people through the cadet movement.

At Shearwater Marine Services, we have a long-standing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, reservists, veterans and cadet organisations. We understand the value of the skills, discipline and leadership they bring, both within the military and in civilian life.

This commitment is reflected in our achievement of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award, recognising the support we provide to members of the Armed Forces community.

We've been looking forward to attending Seawork 2026, taking place from 9–11 June at Mayflower Park, Southampton.

As one of the UK's leading events for the commercial marine and marine civil engineering sectors, Seawork brings together industry professionals from across the country to showcase the latest innovations, products and services.

We are exhibiting as part of the Association of Diving Contractors (ADC) area U10 and would love to catch up with clients, suppliers and industry colleagues throughout the event.

We’re proud to announce that we’ve secured a new global contract with Babcock International Group, building on a strong working relationship developed over many years in the UK.

This agreement will see our team deliver specialist diving and in-water engineering services worldwide over the next three years, marking a major step forward in our continued growth and international expansion.

It’s a fantastic reflection of the quality of our work and the trust placed in us. We’re ready to take on the challenge and look forward to delivering the same high standards of safety, precision and engineering excellence on a global stage

We were delighted to welcome Angus Campbell, Chair of Highlands and Islands Enterprise , alongside Stuart Black, Chief Executive, Morag Goodfellow, Area Manager, and Adrian Green, Senior Development Officer, to Shearwater Marine Services on Wednesday.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase our workshops and offices in Sandbank, including our new painting and coating booth, plasma cutter and brake press, investments supported by Highlands and Islands Enterprise that are already helping us increase efficiency and expand our in-house capabilities.

Back at our HQ, we discussed a number of exciting projects currently driving our continued expansion in Dunoon and across the globe, as well as the next steps we are taking to support future growth.

It was an extremely positive and productive meeting. We are very grateful for the support Highlands and Islands Enterprise has provided to Shearwater Marine Services and we look forward to continuing to build on this strong partnership in the years ahead.
