Shearwater Holdings Ltd is looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join our growing team.

This is a key role supporting businesses across the Shearwater Group, leading the full bid process from identifying and assessing opportunities through to developing win strategies and delivering high-quality, compelling tender submissions.

We’re looking for someone with:

A demonstrable track record of winning public and private sector contracts
Experience in civil engineering, marine engineering and/or commercial diving
Experience working with NEC4 contracts
Excellent bid writing and editing skills
Strong project management and organisational skills
The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines

Based in our Dunoon and/or Glasgow offices with hybrid working available

This is an opportunity to help shape and lead the Group’s bid function while working across technically interesting marine, civil engineering and specialist projects throughout the UK.

We’re taking something brand new to George Leslie’s Innovation Day 2026!

Shearwater Marine Services will be attending the event on Thursday 20 August with our new portable dive tank, designed and built in-house by our own fabricators and technicians.

And we’ll be putting it to work!

Throughout the day, our commercial divers will demonstrate some of the tasks they carry out in subsea environments, giving visitors an opportunity to see our team and equipment in action.

We’ll also be demonstrating one of our ROVs, showing how remotely operated technology can work alongside our dive teams to add further capability and flexibility to subsea operations.

This will be the dive tank’s first outing since it was completed, so we’re looking forward to putting it through its paces and showcasing another example of the skills and expertise we have within the Shearwater team.

So, if you’re coming along to the event don’t forget to come and see us.
