Ever wonder what 90+ years of pump engineering looks like lined up in one shot? This is it.
Each unit here is a Floway® vertical turbine pump, engineered and manufactured under one roof at our Fresno, California, facility.
So, what makes a vertical turbine pump different? Unlike a horizontal pump, the motor sits on top while the bowl assembly hangs vertically, pulling water straight up from deep wells, sumps, wet pits, or barrel/can installations.
By the numbers, Floway® VTP pumps deliver:
- Capacity up to 35,000 GPM (8,000 m³/hr)
- Pressure up to 1,500 psi (wet pit) or 3,000 psi (barrel/can design)
- Power up to 3,400 HP (2,535 kW)
- Temperature range from -40°F to 175°F (-40°C to 80°C)
- Materials ranging from bronze and carbon steel to duplex, super duplex, and titanium alloys for corrosion resistance
- Certifications to NSF/ANSI 61 & 372 and API 610, compliance with Hydraulic Institute standards, and UL/FM listings
Every one of these pumps is factory-tested in-house, with flow testing up to 45,000 GPM, hydrostatic pressure testing up to 5,000 psi, and full electrical load testing through 3,400 HP before it ever leaves Fresno.
Reliable hydraulics. Long service life. A pump built for the long haul.
