Proud to announce that UAB Construction Ltd has recently been awarded a new telecoms infrastructure framework, marking another major step forward in the continued growth of the business.

This framework will see us delivering a range of civils and infrastructure works across multiple projects, supporting the ongoing expansion and improvement of telecoms networks throughout the UK.

Over the past 12 months we’ve continued investing into the business, even at times of uncertainty, expanding our capabilities, strengthening compliance, training and operational systems, and building a team that can deliver safely, efficiently and professionally across multiple sectors.

We were recently approached by a local farmer to deliver a new agricultural storage shed, including all associated groundwork and external works.

Our scope included:

Great few days completing our NRSWA Supervisor & Operative qualifications.

As UAB Construction continues to expand further into highways, streetworks and local authority-related projects, investing into compliance, training and operational capability remains a big focus for us as a business.

Thanks to the training team for their support throughout the course.

UAB Construction Ltd were recently asked about a 2 acre compound project where the intention is to create a yard for future letting.

The initial design came through based on a 3% CBR assumption, which as most of you will know, drives very heavy build ups, Deeper Dig, More stone, More cost and It would have killed the job commercially.

Instead of just pricing what was in front of us, we picked it apart and advised the client properly.

We suggested a simple approach, let’s 4 trial pits across the site, Dig down 300/400mm, Carry out CBR plate testing

Actual results came back between 9/11% CBR.
Meaning it’s, Reduced build-up requirement,
Significant reduction of imported stone
Project becomes viable again

Estimated saving of around £300/400k

Another project recently completed for a valued client , 5200m² commercial pond.

Scope of works:
• Installation of pond liner
• Placement of 400mm topsoil layer using GPS-controlled Engcon machine
• Formation of 4 stepped levels around the perimeter

Working through the January & February weather conditions made this a challenging job, with constant dewatering and difficult ground conditions throughout, a lot of wet feet and clothes but they lads cracked on and complete with a nice finish 👍🥳

As we continue to grow UAB Construction Ltd (Underground Above & Beyond), we’re actively looking to tender for upcoming and future groundworks and civil engineering projects across the UK.

We cover the full spectrum of groundworks and civils, including:

•Foundations (pads, strips, rafts and piled ground beams)

Gamston Bellmouth

We’ve officially kicked off our Gamston Bellmouth works, starting with breaking ground using the pe**er to remove the existing hardstanding and formation.

Next stages on this package:

•Reduce dig to formation
•Build back up with 350mm of 6F stone
•Cap with 150mm of Quarry Type 1

Heavy duty asphalt to adoptable highway spec total of 930m2:
• 190mm base
• 60mm binder
• 50mm wearing course

Alongside the road construction, we’ll also be carrying out:

•160lm of 300mm drainage
•New manholes
•Road gullies
•210lm of HB2 kerbs to install

This is an adoptable road, so everything is being built to full spec from the ground up.

Early days yet, but good to be underway. Big effort from the team getting set up and cracking on despite the typical British weather.
