Do Solar Inverters Automatically Adjust When the Clocks Change?

Twice a year, the UK clocks change. But what does this mean for your solar inverter and home battery storage system?

Most modern internet-connected inverters can adjust automatically, but it's worth checking your battery charging schedules, particularly if you take advantage of cheaper overnight electricity tariffs.

A quick check could help you avoid unnecessary electricity costs.

Find out what to look for in our short guide.

Energy prices going through the roof? Chris decided to take a stand!

With electricity prices continuing to rise, Chris decided enough was enough.

So he covered his house, garage and shed with solar panels.
Then he ran out of roof… so he started on the garden!
Thankfully, you don't need to go quite as far as Chris!

At UK Green Energy Installations, we help you maximise your roof's solar potential with a professionally designed system tailored to your property, electricity usage and budget.

Unlike Chris, we promise a more practical approach to solar panel placement! 😉

This Halloween… Be More Chris's Wife! 🎃

Poor Chris waited so long for electricity prices to come down so he could charge his new robotic lawnmower… he wasted away waiting!

Luckily, his wife had other ideas!

She knew waiting for cheaper electricity wasn't the answer, so she invested in solar panels and battery storage from UK Green Energy Installations.

Now she's generating her own electricity, storing energy for later AND enjoying her morning coffee while the mower does all the work!

Chris? He's still waiting… 💀

Don't wait until you're just bones to start saving!

“Drivers using a zappi charger can now be reimbursed automatically for charging their company EV at home, based on the energy they actually use and their own tariff.”

myenergi and Rightcharge are making home charging the easy choice for electric fleets.

For electric fleets, the cheapest place to charge is often at home. The challenge is making that straightforward enough to work at scale.

Public rapid charging can cost more than 60p per kWh. On some smart tariffs, the same energy at home costs closer to 7p. myenergi is partnering with Rightcharge to make that gap easier for fleets to actually capture.

Drivers using a zappi charger can now be reimbursed automatically for charging their company EV at home, based on the energy they actually use and their own tariff. No estimates. No expense claims. Rightcharge also verifies that the vehicle being charged is the company vehicle, and brings home and public charging together into one HMRC-compliant monthly bill.

zappi already works with more smart tariffs than any other EV charger in the UK, giving drivers more freedom over how and when they charge.
