🚨 Emergency Plumbing Call-Out 💧🔧

Called out to investigate water leaking downstairs, with a few problems quickly identified!

🚽 Leaking toilet
• Flexible pan connector was damaged with multiple slices and holes
• Inlet isolation valve was leaking
• No washer/seal fitted on the inlet into the cistern, causing another leak
• Faulty parts replaced and connections made watertight
• Toilet and unit reinstalled and toilet fully sealed

🛁 Leaking bath
• Existing silicone seal had failed, allowing water to leak downstairs
• Old seal completely removed
• Area cleaned and prepared
• Fresh silicone seal applied to make it watertight again

Multiple leaks tracked down and sorted in one emergency call-out. ✅

A leaking toilet cistern and a broken basin plug needed sorting on this one.

🔹 Fresh cistern bolts fitted
🔹 Entire flush system replaced
🔹 New basin plug fitted
🔹 Fresh silicone applied for a clean, watertight finish

All sorted, tested and back working as it should! 👌

🔥 Another busy week at Jay’s Property Improvements! 🔨

Straight back into it after returning from fighting the wildfires down in South Wales, and it’s certainly been a busy one! 💪

Plenty of jobs ticked off the list this week, including:

🚪 Installing new door frames
🪟 Fitting window sills
🎨 Finishing off decorating works
🔨 Fitting PVC trims
🪵 Laying ply boards over existing floors
🚪 Fitting a new oak door
🏠 Installing new composite click wood-effect flooring

A good variety of work completed and another productive week in the books! 👌

🏠 ONGOING RENOVATION – PRENTON, WIRRAL 🔨

This ongoing project is moving along nicely! 👌

A lot of progress made this week:

🔨 Bonded out walls where needed after the old plaster had crumbled right back to the brick
⚡ Electrician in to completely rewire the kitchen
🔧 Sorted all the plumbing back to the mains – it was a right mess, but it’s now been put right!
🧱 Walls plastered to above countertop height in the required areas
📐 Suspended ceiling installed and boarded
✨ Ceiling plastered and ready for the next stage

Plenty of work going into this one, but it’s really starting to take shape now.

Progressing well – looking forward to seeing the finished result! 👌

The utility room has now been painted, bringing this renovation project to a successful finish.

From the initial preparation through to the final coat of paint, it's been great to see this transformation come together. A fresh, clean finish that ties everything together and leaves the space looking its very best.

🎨 Back to put the finishing touches on this one! 🏡

You may remember seeing photos of this project around a month ago when we completed the painting. Yesterday, we returned to carry out a few final touch-ups and finishing details to ensure everything was completed to the highest standard.

It's always great to revisit a project and leave it looking its absolute best.

Today's progress on our renovation project involved applying bonding coat and a fresh skim finish, feathered out to create a smooth, seamless surface ready for the next stage.

With the walls now prepped, everything is set for the new kitchen installation. It's always satisfying seeing the project come together, one stage at a time.

🏡 BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! 🔨

We're excited to be part of this fantastic renovation project!

The original layout simply wasn't practical for modern living, so the first step was opening up the space by removing several internal walls. The transformation has already made a huge difference, creating a much brighter, more spacious home.

With the new layout planned, we've now installed the stud walls, ready for a large new bathroom and a dedicated home office.

It's great to see this project starting to take shape, and we can't wait to show you the progress as it continues.
