Here we have a good example of how important servicing is.

Delaying servicing causes the oil to break down loosing its viscosity and eventually turning to sludge and carbon, which then blocks oil ways leading to premature failure, as seen in the pictures.

Marine turbos are a large part of what we do. With nearly 40 years in the business we’ve got the experience and knowledge to tackle some of the more challenging jobs.

Take these Iveco Marine turbos for example. Both turbine housing needed custom stainless sleeves machining and welding in to not only bring the tolerances back to spec but to prevent future damage from corrosion.

Ever wondered how a VNT turbo works?

VNT stands for Variable Nozzle Turbine. Exhaust gas flow is optimised using adjustable internal vanes. This means the turbocharger behaves like a small turbo at lower speeds by closing the vanes to create more boost and like a bigger turbo at higher speed by opening them.

This pair of BMW X5M turbos came to us with leaking actuators. With OE ones not available, our workshop worked their magic modifying both compressor housings and making custom rod ends.
Along with brand new CHRA assemblies and wastegate repairs, this saved the customer from an expensive bill for a pair of brand new turbos!
