We are looking for an experienced and skilled Joiner to join our team at SGH Joinery & Construction Services, based in Forfar.

We carry out a wide range of domestic and commercial projects throughout Angus and Tayside and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and is reliable, hardworking and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

What We’re Looking For:

🔨 Proven experience across all aspects of joinery
🔨 Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
🔨 Reliable, punctual and hardworking
🔨 Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
🔨 Positive attitude and strong team-working skills
🔨 Full UK driving licence – essential

🏗️ 1st Stop 2 Shop - Kingsway 🏗️

We’re delighted to have played our part in the transformation of the new 1st Stop 2 Shop premises on Kingsway.

The project began with a complete strip-out of the former bank building, taking it back to a bare shell before undertaking extensive structural alterations. Works included the installation of new steelwork, floor strengthening, structural modifications and all necessary preparation works to create the ideal space for the shop fit-out team to bring the client’s vision to life.

Externally, significant groundworks were carried out to create additional customer parking within the former garden area, improving both access and convenience for visitors.

A huge thank you to everyone involved throughout the project. We wish the team at 1st Stop 2 Shop every success in their new venture and look forward to seeing the business thrive.

🍩 KEPTIE BAKERY – BRECHIN 🍞

SGH were delighted to be entrusted with the full renovation of The Keptie Bakery in Brechin.

With the shop closed for just three working days, our operatives and subcontractors worked around the clock to complete as much of the renovation as possible before reopening. Once the bakery reopened, works continued daily from 2pm until late to ensure minimal disruption to the business and its customers.

We think the photos speak for themselves on this one – what a transformation! 😍

The front shop, food preparation area, and back store all underwent a complete refurbishment, being stripped back to the bare walls before being fully refitted to match The Keptie Bakery’s other shops in Arbroath and Letham.

This renovation also coincides with a special milestone, marking 10 years of The Keptie Bakery serving the Brechin community. 🎉

A massive thank you to our team and subcontractors for their 100% commitment, dedication, and hard work throughout this project. We couldn't have achieved this result without you. THANK YOU 🙏🏼
