NEW: AEON Next have launched their second CFC in Tokyo! 🇯🇵

This new CFC in Hachioji City, Tokyo, is equipped with our latest tech, like On-Grid Robotic Pick (OGRP). It also introduces Auto-Freezer, helping AEON process frozen orders 2.7 times faster compared to their first CFC. Auto-Freezer increases frozen inventory capacity by 150% while reducing the storage area by 30%.

As one of our most advanced sites in the world, the Hachioji CFC enables AEON to expand their delivery network across Greater Tokyo. Green Beans, AEON's online grocery delivery brand, has continued to make strong progress, with 70% YoY growth and a perfect order rate of 97%.

One decade ago we opened our office in Sofia, Bulgaria 🇧🇬

We're incredibly proud to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Ocado Bulgaria at the beautiful Residence of the British Ambassador to Bulgaria Nathaniel Copsey! 🎉

What was once just one team in R&D, has now turned into a thriving community of 300+ people across Engineering, Operations, and Group Operations.
Today, Ocado Bulgaria is an integral part of the company and a strategic hub in our global business.

Over the years, we created advanced technology laboratories in Sofia where our R&D teams test and develop the cutting-edge products that power our global CFC network. We now have Remote Support Centre of Excellence teams that keep the operations of our CFCs running seamlessly 24/7. Today, Sofia is also where we keep on building new teams across Group Operations. Behind all of these milestones is a remarkably strong community culture and the exceptional talent of our employees.

Earlier this year, one of our most advanced Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) to date went live in one of the world's leading markets for grocery e-commerce: South Korea 🇰🇷

Lotte Shopping's Busan CFC introduces our fully automated freezer, with temperatures as low as -25° C. This Auto-Freezer is expected to achieve more than double the productivity of a traditional manual freezer. It is also expected to be our most environmentally friendly site in the world. It has 100% electric fleet for daytime deliveries and the solar panels installed on the roof are expected by Lotte to reduce annual carbon emissions by over 1,000 tonnes.

Our Busan CFC serves a catchment of 4 million households, and online is fast becoming the main grocery channel for many customers across South Korea. We are excited to help Lotte deliver a step-change in the choice, service and experience it offers shoppers.
