Great to see Coles' Full Year Results overnight: our Australian partner once again reported a strong e-commerce performance, with our two Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) delivering growth significantly ahead of the wider e-commerce channel.

FIRST LOOK: 롯데 (LOTTE) Shopping's first Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) live in action!

Here's a first look at our latest technology live in Busan, South Korea, serving a catchment of 4 million households.

Look out for our automated freezer, with temperatures as low as -25° C. This Auto-Freezer is expected to achieve more than double the productivity of a traditional manual freezer.

You'll also spot the solar panels on the roof: these are expected by Lotte to reduce annual carbon emissions by over 1,000 tonnes. This CFC is expected to be our most environmentally friendly site in the world, with a 100% electric fleet for daytime deliveries.

Great to see the excitement around 롯데 (LOTTE) Shopping's first Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in South Korea!

The site is already generating positive results: since launch, the number of orders increased by 30% compared to the month before. Jaewoo Jung, Head of Lotte Mart Online Business Division, said: "So far, we haven’t even seriously begun marketing or promotional campaigns. The fact that orders have increased just by shifting fulfillment from stores to the center is an encouraging sign."

NEW: 롯데 (LOTTE)'s first Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) opens in South Korea! 🇰🇷

After launching the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) with our In-Store Fulfilment (ISF) software last year, Lotte and Ocado have opened their first South Korean CFC, serving a catchment of 4 million households across Busan and the surrounding region.

The Busan CFC introduces our fully automated freezer, with temperatures as low as -25° C. This Auto-Freezer is expected to achieve more than double the productivity of a traditional manual freezer. It will also support dawn delivery: enabling freshly packed grocery orders to reach customers' homes before 7am, a unique characteristic of the South Korean market.

This CFC is expected to be our most environmentally friendly site in the world: a 100% electric fleet for daytime deliveries, with more energy efficient 3D-printed bots and multi-temperature totes to maximise storage density for delivery. The solar panels installed on the roof are expected by Lotte to reduce annual carbon emissions by over 1,000 tonnes.

Most robots handle one task. Ours has to pick 50,000+ items, from eggs to bottles, each with their own shape, size and weight. 🦾

That's where TeleOp comes in. You can see a colleague training our On-Grid Robotic Pick (OGRP) arm in person below, but in live operations this same training happens remotely, from anywhere in the world.

Human pilots use Vive-based motion capture to demonstrate pick and pack operations, and our AI learns through behaviour cloning: adapting, generalising and improving with every demonstration.
