At Trueform, we believe that investing in public transport is about far more than infrastructure, it's about creating connected, accessible and sustainable communities.

That's why we're proud to support Bus Users UK as a Lead Campaign Partner for Catch the Bus Month 2026. As manufacturers of passenger transport infrastructure, we understand that every bus journey begins before a passenger steps on board. The quality of the waiting environment, the accessibility of the stop, the availability of information and the confidence passengers have in the network all influence whether people choose to travel by bus.

Encouraging greater bus use is essential to reducing congestion, improving air quality, supporting local economies and helping achieve long-term sustainability goals. But increasing ridership isn't just about introducing new buses or more frequent services, it also requires high-quality infrastructure that makes public transport safe, comfortable, inclusive and attractive for everyone.

Through decades of working with local authorities and transport operators, we've seen first-hand how modern bus shelters, mobility hubs, passenger information systems and wayfinding can transform the passenger experience and encourage more people to choose sustainable travel.

Supporting Catch the Bus Month reflects our commitment to helping create transport networks that work for people and places, today and for future generations.

Because better infrastructure doesn't just improve journeys, it helps build stronger communities.

As part of Campaign for Better Transport Better Transport Week back in June, our Trueform teams took on the challenge of leaving their cars at home and using public transport to travel to our Hayes offices, helping us promote more sustainable and active travel.

As an Official Sponsor and Partner of Campaign for Better Transport’s Better Transport Week, we were proud to support the conversation around cleaner, greener and more accessible transport, while rewarding our teams for getting involved!

Employees had the chance to win prizes including Fitbits, bikes and train or bus passes, with awards recognising our Change Champion, Active Travel Promoter and Better Transport Supporter.

It was fantastic to see colleagues embracing public transport, sharing their experiences and showing how small changes to everyday journeys can make a difference.

As EV adoption continues to grow, the conversation is shifting from simply installing charge points to creating charging infrastructure that is reliable, resilient and designed around the user experience.

EV charging canopies play a far greater role than protecting drivers from the weather. They help safeguard valuable charging equipment, reduce exposure to the elements, support operational reliability and create safer, more welcoming charging environments. Well-designed infrastructure also enhances the visual appeal of charging locations, encouraging greater confidence in the transition to electric mobility.

At Trueform, we believe the future of EV charging depends on infrastructure that is built to last. Investing in high-quality canopies isn't just about improving appearance, it's about protecting assets, supporting long-term performance and delivering a better experience for every driver.

Read our latest blog to discover why EV charging canopies are becoming an essential part of future-ready charging networks. https://trueform.com/news/how-ev-charging-canopies-improve-charging-reliability/ #0

Increasing rail ridership is about more than expanding services, it's about creating station environments that meet the expectations of today's passengers. High-quality architecture, thoughtfully designed infrastructure and durable, reliable passenger amenities all play a vital role in shaping the travel experience.

For almost 50 years, Trueform has been designing, manufacturing and delivering premium passenger transport infrastructure for rail, bus and light rail networks across the UK and internationally. Every day, millions of people interact with our products, often without realising it, as they travel through stations, interchanges and public transport networks.

From passenger shelters and seating to digital displays, wayfinding and station furniture, our solutions are built to enhance accessibility, comfort, safety and the overall passenger experience.

In London alone, Trueform is responsible for maintaining more than 36,000 Transport for London surface transport assets, a reflection of the trust placed in our expertise and our commitment to delivering infrastructure that stands the test of time.

As the rail industry continues to encourage more people to travel sustainably, investing in high-quality station infrastructure will remain essential to creating welcoming, reliable and future-ready transport environments.

At the end of July, members of the Trueform team spent the day volunteering at Heartwood as part of our ongoing partnership with the The Woodland Trust , helping to clear Common Ragwort and support the long-term health of this important local landscape.

While Ragwort is a native wildflower that benefits some pollinators, it can spread rapidly and pose risks to grazing livestock if left unmanaged. By removing the plants before they set seed, our volunteers helped protect local habitats, improve grazing land and contribute to the careful stewardship of the woodland.

These volunteering days are part of our wider commitment to sustainability, biodiversity and giving back to the communities and environments in which we work. We're proud to support practical conservation projects that make a positive, lasting difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and to the Woodland Trust for their continued partnership.

We're proud to have been awarded a 10-year bus shelter concession by Eastbourne Borough Council, marking the start of a major investment in the town's public transport infrastructure.

Over the coming months, Trueform will replace the existing bus shelters with 164 new sustainably produced Legacy shelters, all proudly Made in Britain.

Installed and maintained by Trueform, the new estate will provide passengers with a safer, more comfortable and higher-quality waiting environment for years to come.

The project also includes the introduction of new digital advertising panels alongside traditional paper advertising opportunities, creating valuable platforms for both local and national businesses to connect with the community.

This investment demonstrates how high-quality, sustainable street furniture can enhance the public realm, improve the passenger experience and deliver long-term value through innovative partnership working.
