Heating season is certainly in full swing! This boiler replaced over the weekend after failing its gas safety inspection. A new Worcester 1000 combi boiler installed for this landlord. With a 5 year warranty. And a new gas hob.

Our 2025 Runner Up at the Heating Installer Awards is the brilliant Joshua Bond of Off Grid Plumbing,Heating and Renewable Energy!

Joshua took home the South West title earlier this year and has now been recognised as one of the top two heating installers in the UK – no small feat considering the calibre of competition from across the country.

His winning project saw him bring an 1800s cottage into the modern age, designing a brand-new system with an HVO boiler to deliver efficient, low-carbon heating for the homeowner. Judges praised his technical skill, detailed planning and customer-first approach – all of which shone through during the rigorous technical challenge stage.

Joshua said: “To come second nationally is absolutely incredible. I’ve been lucky to work on some amazing projects this year and to have that recognised in front of my peers is a real honour. I’ve also met some great people through the awards who I now count as friends. It’s been a tremendous journey.”

We’re so proud to have Joshua in the HIA community – and can’t wait to see what he does next.

Something a little bit different today. Piping a factory ready for the production of pasties. You cannot get much more Cornish than that. Cold, Hot and Secondary return pipework run throughout to each appliance. Dough mixing machines piped. A-few commercial sinks piped up. Another good job done. 👷 💖

Boiler cupboard completed for this client. Viessmann vitodens 100W boiler with a Center 250 litre indirect hot water cylinder. Magnaclean heating filter installed on this one to prevent dirt build up in the radiators.

Another job completed, x2 250 litre unvented hot water cylinders installs in this commercial unit. Insulated pipework, secondary hot water return for plenty of the hot water. 👷

Another Worcester combi boiler installed this week. Removal of a 30 year old back boiler and hot water cylinder. This job had its challenges but the team over came any issues and the result was fantastic. Special shout to Scott for the boiler install.
