🩻 How are you measuring pulsed X-rays?

πŸŽ₯ Watch our latest video with CBRNe Sector Manager Verity Holmes to learn how the new PXRD pulsed X-ray dosemeter can measure pulse widths as short as 25 nanoseconds.

✴️ The PXRD can accurately detect and measure pulsed X-rays generated by portable X-ray systems including Golden Engineering's XR150, XR200 and XRS3.

🚨 Built to be used out in the field, the PXRD is lightweight, durable and finished in a chemically resistant keypad for effective decontamination. It can be carried by hand or mounted on a tripod to allow remote monitoring and features a customisable accumulated dose alarm with audible, visual and haptic alerts to warn the user when thresholds are crossed.

🐎 Are you protected against ionising radiation when imaging animals?

☒️ Government guidelines such as Chapter 27 of JPS 392 have placed renewed emphasis on safeguarding veterinarians working with diagnostic X-ray equipment. While exposure can be reduced by wearing PPE such as lead aprons, only by measuring radiation can a vet truly understand their own risk.

🩻 The Tracerco PED-Blue Personal Electronic Dosimeter can precisely measure X-rays with real-time dose and dose rate monitoring.

πŸ’‘ What is great about the PED-Blue is that it has been designed for users who have not been trained in radiation detection and measurement but may work in industries or sectors where it presents a risk, meaning it is simple and intuitive to use.

New clinical evidence highlights the potential of intraoperative molecular imaging to improve breast-conserving surgeryπŸ“œ

A new multicentre BrIMA study, published in JAMA Surgery, has demonstrated that the XEOS AURA 10 mobile PET-CT specimen imager significantly improves surgeons' ability to identify positive margins during breast-conserving surgery. The study found:

πŸ‘‰ Intraoperative success rates increased from 83.3% to 95.2% in invasive ductal carcinoma cases

πŸ‘‰ Across all breast cancer subtypes, success rates improved from 76.4% to 91.9%

πŸ‘‰ No device-related adverse events were reported

By providing high-resolution PET-CT images of the entire excised specimen in around 10 minutes, the AURA 10 helps surgeons make informed decisions while the patient is still in the operating room, potentially reducing the need for repeat surgeries and improving patient outcomes.

Congratulations to the XEOS team on this important milestone and the publication of the BrIMA study in JAMA Surgery! πŸ™Œ

☒️ How are you searching for radioactive materials in the field?

πŸŽ₯ In our new video, Nuclear & Industrial Sector Manager Sarah-Jane Lonsdale demonstrates the H3D A400, a highly sensitive handheld Radioisotope Identification Device that uses a pixelated CZT detector in a lightweight design for single-handed operation.

⏱️ It can identify sources within seconds and localise them in under two minutes using 360-degree isotope-specific directionality, making it ideal for first responders, radiation protection engineers and armed forces personnel.

πŸŽ₯ Are you looking for a safer, better way to dispense doses?

πŸ’‰ The Amercare Automated Dose Dispenser is designed to mimic the manual syringe dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals.

☒️ In this video, Product Specialist Luke Brammer demonstrates just how easy it is to use the ADD in nuclear medicine and radiopharmacy. It helps to reduce finger dose and the risk of needlestick injury, while increasing accuracy and repeatability.
