Nine and counting! šŸ‘Š

Another major investment is taking shape at Greenfield Engineering as we install our 9th CNC turret punch press – another AMADA EMZ-3612 MII.

The latest addition gives us even greater punching capacity, flexibility and resilience, helping us stay ahead of growing customer demand and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Richard Green, Director at Greenfield Engineering, said:

ā€œReaching nine punching machines is a significant milestone for Greenfield. The additional EMZ-3612 MII gives us greater capacity and flexibility and ensures we continue to stay ahead of our customers’ growing requirements.ā€

A great milestone for the team and another significant investment in our UK manufacturing capability.

šŸŽ„ Inside Greenfield Engineering’s latest investment in powder coating

Take a closer look at our new WAGNER IPS automated powder coating line in action at our Waldon Way facility.

The system represents a major step forward in our finishing capability, combining intelligent 3D part recognition with automated gun positioning and advanced powder management to deliver greater consistency, efficiency and quality.

This investment strengthens our ability to offer customers a comprehensive manufacturing service — from laser cutting and punching through folding, assembly and now high-capacity automated powder coating.

A significant addition to our capabilities and another investment in the future of UK manufacturing.

⛳ Greenfield Engineering at the HASP Golf Day

A great day at Holsworthy Golf Club on Saturday for the 2nd Annual Holsworthy Area Sports Pavilion (HASP) Golf Day.

Greenfield Engineering was pleased to support the event by sponsoring the second hole, as well as entering our own team of Dominic Abbott, James Wharton, Adam Watkins and John Bygrave.

The lads put in a strong performance, finishing the 18 holes with a gross score of 71. šŸ‘šŸŒļøā€ā™‚ļø

Most importantly, it was another fantastic local event helping to raise valuable funds for HASP and supporting sporting facilities within our community.

A big thank you to everyone who organised the day, Holsworthy Golf Club for hosting, and all the teams and sponsors who supported it.

Well played Dom, James, Adam and John! ⛳

What a fantastic afternoon! ā˜€ļøšŸ”

On Friday we held our annual Greenfield Engineering Summer BBQ at our Waldon Way site, bringing the whole team together for an afternoon of great food, plenty of laughs and some friendly competition.

A huge thank you to Salt Wind Catering for an amazing BBQ – the food was absolutely spot on!

The bucking bronco, sumo suits and outdoor games certainly brought out everyone’s competitive side, with lots of laughs and a few unforgettable moments throughout the afternoon.

Most importantly, it was a chance to say thank you to our incredible team. Their hard work, commitment and dedication are what make Greenfield Engineering the business it is today, and it was great to spend some time together away from work.

Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make it another brilliant Greenfield event. We’re already looking forward to the next one! šŸ‘

On a sunny evening on Friday 24 July, Greenfield Engineering faced Harpers Feeds in an entertaining T20 cricket match at Stanhope Park, to support the Holsworthy Area Sports Pavilion.

With Greenfield short of a few players, the incredible nine-year-old Sonny Wonacott stepped up and certainly made an impact. Sonny produced a memorable performance, taking two wickets against the Harpers side.

Harpers recorded an impressive 225 runs from their 20 overs. Dale Dinner also claimed two wickets, although a dropped a sitter of a catch provided one of the entertaining moments of the evening and resulted in an impromptu performance of the can-can!

In reply, Greenfield reached 154 runs. Bilal Darbar led the scoring with an excellent 51, while Jack Greening contributed 28 before retiring. During his innings, one of Jack’s powerful shots unfortunately found its way through the living-room window of a neighbouring property! Matt Gliddon added 10 runs, including a huge six in to the same properties garden, while Greg Snowden demonstrated his considerable power by breaking one of Jack’s bats.

Although Harpers secured victory by 71 runs, the match was played in excellent spirits and provided an enjoyable evening for players and spectators.

Jake Wharton, Matt Gliddon, Ben Varco, Dale Dinner, Gaz Klingenberg, Adam Watkins, Jack Greening, Greg Snowden, Hannah Steadman, Sonny Wonacott and Bilal Darbar.

Congratulations to Harpers Feeds, and thank you to Holsworthy Cricket Club and everyone who supported the event with the proceeds going to the Holsworthy Area Sports Pavilion.

Looking forward to another great evening of cricket as Greenfield takes on Harpers in the annual T20 at Stanhope Park.

A bit of friendly rivalry, hopefully plenty of runs, and a great opportunity to support the Holsworthy Area Sports Pavilion. If you’re local, come along and enjoy the evening—food, bar and hopefully some sunshine! šŸŒžšŸŸšŸ»

Greenfield Engineering was delighted to recently host our Factory Bridge Challenge at Holsworthy Community College on the 25th June, working with around 80 Year 8 students. A hands-on engineering event designed to inspire the next generation of STEM talent.

Working in teams, students were challenged to design, build and test their own bridges using genuine engineering components manufactured at our Holsworthy facilities. The bridge kits were produced using our advanced manufacturing technologies, including the Amada Ventis fibre laser, Amada HG-ATC automated press brake and our newly commissioned Wagner powder coating facility, giving students the opportunity to work with components manufactured using the same processes trusted by our customers every day.

The challenge encouraged teamwork, problem-solving and creativity, with each bridge put to the test as increasing 1 kg weights were added to determine which design could withstand the greatest load. The enthusiasm, collaboration and competitive spirit shown throughout the day made the event an outstanding success.

The Factory Bridge Challenge forms part of Greenfield Engineering’s ongoing partnership with Holsworthy Community College, complementing our factory tours, apprenticeship opportunities and structured work experience programe. By providing practical, engaging experiences, we aim to demonstrate the exciting opportunities available within modern engineering and manufacturing while encouraging more young people to consider careers in STEM.

We would like to thank the staff and students at Holsworthy Community College for their enthusiasm and commitment in making the day such a success. Supporting the development of future engineers remains an important part of our commitment to our local community, and we look forward to welcoming the next group of students for another Bridge Challenge next year.

A project we’re incredibly proud of.

After months of planning, installation and commissioning, our new powder coating facility is now fully operational and already delivering outstanding results.

Working alongside WAGNER and TD Finishing, we’ve introduced the UK’s first IPS Powder Centre, helping us achieve greater consistency, faster colour changes, improved efficiency and even higher quality finishes for our customers.

The feedback from customers has been exceptional, and it’s fantastic to see the project featured in WAGNER’s latest reference report.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this investment a success. We’re continuing to invest in technology, automation and manufacturing excellence as we build for the future.
