Congratulations to our Associate, Lydia Stronge who is celebrating ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ at MDA!
Lydia joined MDA in 2014 on a ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ as part of her Building Surveying degree and returned full-time to MDA in 2016 after graduating University with first-class honours. Over the past 10 years, she has ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ and achieved professional membership of both the ๐ฅ๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ป๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ (๐ ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฆ) and the ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ (๐ ๐๐๐๐, ๐.๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ ๐).
Lydia specialises in projects where ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป are required, such as structural assessment of high-risk buildings and investigation into non-traditional housing. She has played a key role in expanding MDAโs capability in this area, helping clients meet increasingly complex regulatory and asset management requirements.
In addition to delivering projects, Lydia actively supports the ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ฒ๐ and as a member of our RICS group, she regularly ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ณ๐ณ working towards their APC. She also supports those at the start of their careers, including degree apprentices and college students. Furthermore, she provides day-to-day guidance to colleagues not on formal learning pathways, sharing her knowledge, experience, and leading by example.
Commenting on her 10 year milestone Lydia said โOver the last 10 years I have seen the Asset Management Team grow and evolve. I enjoy watching our younger members of staff, learn grow and achieve their career goals and I continue to enjoy problem solving, leading on complex technical projects and building relationships with clients. I would like to thank Alistair Dyson, Gary Jackson and Andrew Robinson for their invaluable guidance and mentorship over the years.โ
