Large motor shaft where the bearing has failed and worn the surface down, it was taken out of service stopping a large part of the output of the site, we stayed until the shaft was repaired and machined to size. Customer had the motor back in production the next day.

Boring a 5 metre shaft in our 6 metre capability lathe so that stubs can be fitted, then off to a mill to have cross holes and flats machined. Not a small job on a half a ton piece of steel.
