Back at the Kia Oval! Surrey Cricket 🏏

Following our original UKT-28 External Speed Gate installation and the wider construction works taking place on site, our team recently returned for the final stage of the project.

Over two days, we completed the remaining works and commissioned the entrance control system, ready for use.

Great to see everything coming together at such an iconic London venue. ✅

How do you create a controlled entrance without making permanent changes to the space?

That was the challenge for LTA - Tennis For Britain , when exploring an alternative way of managing access to a players' lounge in Hammersmith.

Previously, access had been managed by a security guard. LTA wanted to see how a standalone speed gate could provide a dedicated, controlled entrance, but this wasn't a permanent installation.

That's where our speed gate hire solution came in.

We supplied:

• 1 x UKT-29 Single Lane Speed Gate
• A bespoke fabricated floorplate designed for the space
• Temporary installation as part of the hire

The bespoke floorplate allowed the speed gate to be securely installed while accommodating the temporary nature of the project.

The result? A professional, controlled entrance without the need for permanent infrastructure.

It's a great example of how entrance control can be tailored to the requirement, whether that's a permanent installation or a temporary solution for an event.

Following our recent work for Relay Technologies in Nottingham, we were asked to return, this time to secure the main production warehouse at their Uxbridge site.

The challenge was an uncontrolled entrance in a busy logistics environment, with high footfall throughout the working day.

Our team planned, designed and installed:

• 2 x UKT-42 Twin Full Height Turnstiles
• Warehouse security fencing
• A complete entrance system ready for the site's team to install their access control hardware

The result?

✅ A previously uncontrolled entrance is now secured
✅ Multiple lanes to manage high footfall
✅ Fencing creates a secure boundary around the entrance

Being asked back for a second project is always something we're proud of. It's a great reflection of the trust our clients place in the UK Turnstiles team to deliver.

Something a little different from the usual turnstiles and installations today…

We recently swapped the tools for axes and bows for a UK Turnstiles team day out at Loxwood Joust ⚔️

Between axe throwing, archery, live music, plenty of food and, of course, the jousting itself, it was a great opportunity to get the whole team together away from the usual day-to-day.

A brilliant day with a brilliant team and, thankfully, everyone made it back to work in one piece!

When the University of Chester wanted to replace an uncontrolled entrance with a secure, automated access system, they also had a unique challenge: fitting two triple-lane speed gates into the existing space without compromising the finish.

Which is exactly why they reached out to us.

By designing bespoke openings and pre-installing the university's access control hardware before arriving on site, we were able to complete this big installation in just two working days with minimal disruption.

The results?

✅ Secure, automated access control
✅ A seamless installation with no infill panels required
✅ Faster, more efficient entry for students and staff
✅ Another successful project for a returning client

Following the success of this installation, we're already working with the University of Chester on plans for four more locations across the campus.

The best measure of any project isn't just the result once it's complete; it's what the client says afterwards.
