🔥 FROM ROUGH TO READY! | PLASTERING JOB IN ELLESMERE PORT 🔥

Another job underway in Ellesmere Port! 💪🏽🏠

This room needed plenty of preparation before we could get it looking right. Here’s what we got done:

✅ Bonded up the failed background to create a sound surface.
✅ Scraped back the walls and ceiling to prepare them properly.
✅ Tackled the old Artex ceilings and walls.
✅ Primed the surfaces ready for plastering.
✅ Applied a fresh skim to leave a smooth, clean finish ready for decorating! 👌🏼

Proper preparation is key to achieving a quality finish, and we always make sure the groundwork is done right before the plaster goes on.

📍 Another job in Ellesmere Port getting one step closer to a fresh new look!

🏡 Bedroom Plastering Project – Helsby

Another bedroom completed in Helsby, this time in a beautiful early 1900s property.

When stripping the old plaster back, we uncovered something you don’t see too often these days — original wooden angle beads that had been used on the external corners.

Rather than simply plastering straight over the existing timber, we decided that removing the old wooden bead, bonding the corner back up and installed a modern metal angle bead is the type of job our company does.

🔨 Why go to the extra effort?

Timber can move over time, particularly when moisture gets into it. If you simply plaster directly over the existing wood, there’s a much higher chance of the corner eventually cracking.

By removing it and replacing it with a metal bead, we’ve created a much more solid and durable corner ready for the new plaster.

The end result speaks for itself — flat, smooth walls and crisp, straight corners, bringing this lovely old bedroom back up to scratch while respecting the character of the property.

Another job completed to a high standard. 👌
