Designed for fine woodworking tasks where operators use hand tools such as sanders and drills, the sanding bench is an excellent way to improve dust control at the point of work.

The bench is connected to an extraction system that draws air downward through the work surface. This downward airflow captures wood dust as it is generated and pulls it into the extraction system before it can spread into the operator’s breathing zone.

The benches can be supplied with a rear hood as shown in the image and the continuous extraction also removes residual dust left on the bench surface.

Sanding benches are often used alongside on-tool extraction to give the ultimate protection. By removing airborne particles at source, the sanding bench helps reduce exposure to fine dust during detailed hand-finishing and preparation work.

Congratulations to Jeanette Ward on achieving her P601 Accreditation in Thorough Examination and Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems!

This accreditation demonstrates that Jeanette has met the rigorous standards set by the British Occupational Hygiene Society, reflecting her practical and theoretical expertise in best practices for controlling hazardous substances. It also highlights her ability to test and maintain LEV systems to a high standard that minimises occupational ill-health.

Jeanette brings over 15 years’ experience in the air movement industry to the company and her knowledge and engineering skills are an asset to the company.

We had an insightful team session on Tuesday with Beyond Theory.

Through advanced psychometric assessments and personality profiling, we explored not only our own strengths and ways of working but also those of our amazing team. As a close-knit group, we already work incredibly well together, and these tools and their findings will help us enhance leadership skills, personal development and overall team collaboration.
