As the 🏆 kicks off, evidence shows domestic abuse rises during major football tournaments, with incidents increasing by 38% when England lose and 26% when England play.

This isn’t just a statistic. It’s a reality for too many people.

🌟It's National Volunteer Week 🌟

🏡This week is a great opportunity to recognise the positive impact people make in our communities!

🌧️This week, colleagues Rosie and Louise supported “Give a Day to Kendal” Despite the typical Lake District rain, they kept smiling and got stuck in helping to refresh some of Kendal’s yards

🤝 Give a Day to Kendal 2026 is coordinated by Churches Together in Cumbria, Cumbria CVS, Kendal Town Council and Westmorland and Furness Council. It is a fantastic initiative that brings people together to make a real difference to shared spaces across the town.

We’re working with CIDORI, Auxicia and Kendal College to offer fully funded training for eligible South Lakes Housing residents.

✅ Construction Skills Level 1 course
✅ Starts 15 June 2026
✅ Includes a funded CSCS Green Card
✅ Support into employment

Open to residents aged 19+ who are unemployed, on benefits or on a low income.

Cory and the Repairs team are seeking a fulltime (40 hours) Multi-skilled Electrician, with a great salary of up to £40,494 per annum

And a Property Services Support Assistant (12 month fixed term) to support the team in the office, with a salary of up to £26,905 per annum.
