Case Study Post – V&A Dundee
Some projects present engineering challenges unlike any other.
For the V&A Dundee, AWD designed a bespoke temporary propping system to support the building's complex curved concrete walls throughout construction. The solution supported over 2,240m³ of concrete and steel for more than a year, while more than 70 design calculations and 100 strengthening drawings were completed to meet the project's unique requirements.
It's a project we're proud to have been part of, demonstrating how innovative temporary works design can help bring some of the UK's most iconic buildings to life.
