An essential part of any installation so we shall tell you more..

WHAT ❓ A pedestal is a galvanised steel structure made up of the base, the tube, nut and the head. Pedestals come in a range of heights from 26mm through to bespoke pedestal heights of over 1m.

WHERE ❓ Pedestals are either adhesively or mechanically fixed to the sub floor beneath the panels

WHY ❓ Pedestals provide the under structure beneath the panel they also work to mark out the grid system that panels are laid upon.

THE ONLY WONKY THING ABOUT US!

The only wonky thing you will find the RMF team enjoying is our coffee. We recently switched up our caffeine supply for the wonky coffee pods.

But why?

We love their mission to reduce waste. Wonky coffee take surplus coffee, repackage it and resell it to avoid coffee waste. Our coffee travels far enough to reach us, the last thing we want is it be wasted.

We have to say we are huge fans and would recommend giving the flavoured dip a whirl.

JARGON BUSTING – SEALER

To seal or not to seal that is the question? Read below to find out what we are on about!

WHAT ❓Sealer is quite simply a coat of PVA glue or two coats

WHERE ❓ Onto the sub floor beneath the raised floor

WHY ❓ Sealer is designed as a dust proof sealer, it has nothing to do with the pedestals bond to the sub floor. The process is generally a yellow sealer to prep the floor, the M&E get’s installed then a final red coat to repair any damage to the original seal
