🏗️ Extension Project – Laying the Foundations! 🧱

Another exciting extension project is underway! We’ve been making great progress with the groundwork and initial stages of construction, laying the foundations for what’s to come.

Here’s a look at the work completed so far:

✅ Foundations excavated with the help of a mini digger, ready for the concrete pour.

✅ Concrete foundations poured, providing a strong and stable base for the new extension.

✅ Hardcore laid, compacted and levelled in preparation for the new floor.

✅ Damp-proof membrane and Celotex insulation installed, ready for the subfloor.

✅ Bricklaying underway, with blue engineering bricks and blockwork beginning to take shape.

✅ New drainage system installed, with the necessary plumbing and drainage works completed.

A solid start to the project, with the essential groundwork now in place and the extension beginning to take shape!

We’ll be sharing more updates as construction progresses, so keep an eye out for the next stages of this transformation! 🏡

🏠 Bedroom Makeover | A Fresh New Look

We recently helped a customer bring their bedroom makeover vision to life, with new flooring and updated lighting helping to transform the space.

The work included a number of improvements to give the room a fresh, modern finish:

✅ Removed the existing flooring and installed new chevron LVT flooring
✅ Added quadrant trim along the existing skirting for a neat finish
✅ Replaced the existing pendant lights with modern spotlights
✅ Installed additional wall lights to complement the new lighting

The customer then added the finishing touch by painting the room in their chosen colour, bringing the whole look together.

A great example of how the right flooring, lighting and finishing details can make a real difference to a space!

🏡 Kitchen Transformation – Completed in Just One Week!

We recently completed this kitchen transformation within a tight one-week timeframe, working while our customers were away on holiday so they could return home to a completely transformed kitchen. Having carried out plenty of work for these customers previously, we were happy to go the extra mile to make sure everything was completed within their timeframe. 🔨✨

✨ Here’s what we completed:

✅ Removed the existing kitchen and disposed of it via skip.

✅ Removed the existing flooring and carried out a self-levelling pour to create a level base for the new kitchen.

✅ Supplied and installed a new Howdens kitchen, including a peninsula to make better use of the available space.

✅ Installed new plumbing and gas supplies for the new sink and cooker.

✅ Installed a new kitchen bay window, along with several other window replacements throughout the property, replacing the existing wooden frames with modern UPVC frames.

✅ Installed a composite worktop with rounded corners for a clean and practical finish.

✅ Fitted multiple new spotlights throughout the kitchen.

✅ Installed LED strip lighting beneath the base cabinets for additional practical lighting and a modern finishing touch.

✅ Fitted an integrated pull-out bin for convenient and discreet waste storage.

The result is a completely transformed kitchen with a fresh, modern finish and improved functionality — all ready for our customers to enjoy when they returned from their holiday. 🏡

🏡 Property Modernisation – Heating & Electrical Upgrades! 🔨⚡

As part of a larger project to modernise and improve an older property in Rearsby, we’ve been carrying out a range of upgrades, repairs and maintenance throughout the property.

Here’s a look at some of the work completed so far:

✅ Removed the existing boiler and cylinder and installed a new Viessmann combi boiler, providing a more modern and efficient heating system.

✅ Replaced the existing fuse board with a new, up-to-date consumer unit to improve the property’s electrical system.

✅ Installed a new electric shower.

✅ Replaced and installed new radiators throughout the property.

Plastering repairs are currently being carried out in several areas around the property, we’ll be able to show more of the finished work as the project progresses.

This is the beginning part to a wider range of improvements, including electrical upgrades, plastering, repairs and general maintenance, helping to bring the property up to date while improving its comfort, efficiency and functionality.

🏡 Bungalow Renovation – The Final Transformation!

With the kitchen complete, we’ve moved on to the final stage, finishing the lounge and hallway. 🔨✨

✨ Here’s what we completed:

✅ Enlarged the existing lounge window opening ready for new French doors, bringing more natural light and access to the front garden. Doors fitted by one of our trusted suppliers.

✅ Toothed out the brickwork around the opening, with our bricklayer replacing the surrounding bricks for a seamless finish.

✅ Removed the radiator beneath the window and installed a new decorative radiator.

✅ Installed new wall lights, a pendant and additional sockets throughout the lounge.

✅ Retained the existing coving, adding new sections where required to provide an exact match after the electrical works.

✅ Modernised the fireplace by removing the surrounding details and original slab hearth, installing a new lintel and preparing the alcove for the customer’s electric heater.

✅ Installed a new oak hearth, socket behind the heater, alcove lighting and a customer-supplied wooden beam as a shelf.

✅ Removed old skirting and installed new skirting throughout the lounge and hallway.

✅ Installed a larger hallway loft hatch with an integrated loft ladder for improved access.

✅ Freshly skimmed all walls and ceilings throughout the lounge and hallway.

✅ Replaced the outdated fuse board with a new modern fuse board.

We protected the customer’s lounge furniture with dust sheets throughout the works to minimise dust and protect their belongings.

The new kitchen, lounge and hallway have given the home a completely different feel. 🏡✨

The customers are already looking ahead to further work, so we look forward to working with them again.

🏡 Bungalow Renovation – The Finished Kitchen Transformation!

From a cramped, enclosed kitchen to a bright and spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area. 🔨✨

Following the removal of the dividing wall in Stage 1, we’ve now completed the kitchen and transformed the space into a much more practical and inviting part of the home.

✨ Here’s what we completed:

✅ Installed a new sage green Howdens kitchen, finished with a complementary quartz worktop.

✅ Added a walk-in pantry, complete with a PIR sensor light.

✅ Created a peninsula breakfast bar where the original dividing wall stood, opening the kitchen directly into the lounge/dining area.

✅ Installed slat panelling around the breakfast bar and larder unit, adding warmth and a contrasting natural finish to the kitchen.

✅ Fitted two oak shelves with built-in lighting, alongside a new oak windowsill, adding some natural character and practical display space.

✅ Replaced the original single pendant light with spotlights, giving the kitchen a much brighter and more evenly lit finish.

✅ Applied a fresh skim to the walls and ceilings, providing a clean finish throughout the space.

✅ Full re-wire including under cabinet LEDs and new sockets and switches throughout the kitchen.

✅ Installed new LVT flooring, continuing seamlessly from the kitchen through into the dining area.

Having moved into the property earlier this year, the customers can now enjoy a kitchen designed around their needs and personal style.

What was once a cramped and enclosed kitchen is now a modern, spacious open-plan area that flows naturally into the dining and living space. 🏡✨

🏡 PROJECT COMPLETE IN MELTON MOWBRAY 🙌

What a transformation this has been! From removing the old conservatory right through to the finished extension, the project is now officially complete.

Over the last couple of weeks, the team have been cracking on with the finishing stages:

✅ 2nd fix electrics completed internally & externally and fully tested ⚡
✅ Plumbing completed 🚿
✅ Carpentry works completed 🔨
✅ Internal painting completed 🎨
✅ Floor screed installed
✅ Floor self-levelled and primed
✅ LVT flooring installed 👌

✅ All downpipes installed
✅ Building Control inspection completed and all works signed off

🏡 Another big milestone reached on our Melton Mowbray extension!

This week we had Innova Trade Frames in to install the new French doors, side door & window, getting the extension fully watertight and ready for the finishing stages. 👌

Inside, the lads have been cracking on with the internal works:
✅ First fix electrics completed ⚡
✅ First fix plumbing completed 🚿
✅ Fully insulated and taped
✅ Plasterboard installed
✅ Skimming now underway 🙌

It's really starting to look like a proper living space now, and the transformation from the original conservatory is coming together nicely!

A big shout out to the Team so far another quality job. 💪🏼

Another great milestone completed on our Melton Mowbray extension! 🏡💪🏼

This project is really starting to come together, and the transformation has been fantastic to see.

✅ Walls built up to wall plate
✅ Cut roof constructed by our in-house carpenter
✅ Two Velux roof windows installed
✅ Roof breathable felted and battened
✅ Marley Ludlow roof tiles fitted
✅ Lead flashing completed to the ridge
✅ White uPVC soffits and fascias installed
✅ Black guttering fitted

With the extension now fully weatherproof, we're moving onto the internal works this week.
