We take pride in our approach and the outstanding service we provide. We offer both contract lift service and hire only. Whichever you chose, your lifting needs are fulfilled by a CPCS qualified and experienced crane

operator with access to a network of Appointed Persons, lift supervisors and slinger signallers. We cover areas such as Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and most of the midlands region but being close to good transport networks means we can offer services further afield. Phil, Director of FJ Crane Hire, operates our 50 tonne Grove GMK 3050 and has 12 years experience in the industry. With a steel erection background and having supervised and operated a vast array of lifts, Phil isn’t short of knowledge or shy of hard work. For this tight project in Sleaford she’s had to feed all 54 meters of boom through the roof on fly offset to reach these last few bits of steel work for one of our loyal clients! 🙌🏻

We mentioned in our last post that we spend, on average, around 23% of our lives at work. That’s based on a standard 40-hour week.

In crane hire, construction, and engineering, that figure is probably much higher, more like 30/35%. Let’s be honest, 40-hour weeks don’t really exist 🤦🏼‍♂️

Regardless, it’s a significant percentage of our lives, which is why we think it’s important to be happy at work and enjoy the career you’re in 💯

Being unhappy at work is horrible. You don’t want to get up in the morning, and those emotions often come home with you and affect the rest of your life.

That’s one of the reasons we started FJ Crane Hire 🏗️

Learning from our previous experiences, we’ve tried to make FJ Crane Hire a place where people genuinely want to work. We have an open-door policy and do everything we can to support our team 🏋🏼

Work is hard enough as it is, so if there’s anything we can do to make the day a little easier, we’ll always try our best 💪🏻

That’s why receiving photos like this of our lads enjoying themselves at work means a lot ❤️

We know life can be challenging, and changing jobs or careers can feel stressful, but your happiness matters.

I would like to give a massive shoutout to John Whittaker at WCM fleet support for his outstanding work and constant support to our fleet. John has become a part of the family and keeps our fleet running smoothly.

Our cranes are inspected regularly and serviced every 500 hours because we believe that preventive and regular maintenance saves us thousands in break downs and repairs.

Whilst we’ve been away we got the report that our 60t Casey was passing oil on her winch and needed pulling in. It wasn’t looking great, talks of new £23,000+Vat winch was mentioned, not the news i wanted laid on a sun bed trying to enjoy some family time.

John being the hardworking and dedicated guy that he is has worked tirelessly in the ridiculous heat and managed to solve the issue without needing to order that expensive winch.

John you’re an absolute legend and love having you work with us!

John didn’t appreciate my cold beer holiday pics whilst he was grafting away 🤷🏼🍺☀️😂

What a Buzz! What an opportunity! 😆

Our director Phil and our operations manager Clint had the amazing opportunity to play on the LNER stadium pitch at Lincoln for a sponsorship game! 🏟️

Nothing but great fun and great sportsmanship throughout ⚽️

A great end to our first season as club sponsors/partners 🙌🏻
