We take pride in our approach and the outstanding service we provide. We offer both contract lift service and hire only. Whichever you chose, your lifting needs are fulfilled by a CPCS qualified and experienced crane

operator with access to a network of Appointed Persons, lift supervisors and slinger signallers. We cover areas such as Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and most of the midlands region but being close to good transport networks means we can offer services further afield. Phil, Director of FJ Crane Hire, operates our 50 tonne Grove GMK 3050 and has 12 years experience in the industry. With a steel erection background and having supervised and operated a vast array of lifts, Phil isn’t short of knowledge or shy of hard work. Nights are starting to draw in, the seasons are changing and somehow another year is disappearing before our eyes… 🌅🍂

This week I’ll be heading to Vertikal Days at Newark Showground with Clint and Sammie, catching up with old friends, meeting new people and doing what we love. 👊🏻

But it got me thinking…

How quickly does it all go?

One minute you’re looking forward to summer, the next you’re wondering where it went. Weeks turn into months, months turn into years and before you know it, another chapter has passed.

Sometimes I think we all get caught up in the day to day stuff. Work, bills, problems, deadlines… and we forget that none of it is really the important bit.

Don’t take life too seriously.

Laugh a bit more. ❤️
Make memories.
Spend time with the people you love.
Enjoy the little things.
And when you get the chance to stop and take it all in… do it.

Because the years don’t slow down for any of us.

So here’s to making the most of today, enjoying the journey and appreciating the people who make it all worthwhile. 🥂❤️

We often take things for granted. As the days fly by and turn into weeks, months and years, we forget to stop, take a moment and reflect. 🤔

This year has been a difficult one to navigate. A struggling economy, fluctuating fuel prices and an extremely hot summer… You’d expect the last one to increase the workload, but you’d be wrong! ☀️🥵

Today, we stopped to admire the sunset 🌅 after another rollercoaster 🎢 of a week and took a moment to look at what we’ve actually managed to achieve. 🙌🏻

Reflection is important. Sometimes we need to stop, take a breath and look backwards… not to dwell on where we’ve been, but to make sure we’re still heading in the right direction. ☝🏻👉🏻

Keep pushing forward. It’s the only direction! ➡️

The woman behind the machine ❤️

Every successful business has people behind it that you don’t always see.

And for me, there is one person who deserves more appreciation than I could ever put into words.

Sammie. My wife. My best friend. Mum. Business partner. And quite simply, the power behind the machine.

People see the cranes, the jobs, the growth, the madness and everything that comes with running FJ Crane Hire.

What they don’t always see is the person standing beside me through all of it.

The early mornings. The late nights. The difficult decisions. The risks. The wins. The setbacks. The moments where I’ve questioned myself and the moments where we’ve looked at each other and thought, “Bloody hell, look how far we’ve come.”

Sammie has been there through all of it.

She keeps me grounded when business gets crazy, challenges me when I need challenging, supports me when things get tough and somehow manages to keep everything moving when I’m running around like a headless chicken. 😂

But above all of that, she’s my wife and the mum of our family.

And that’s the part that means the most.

Because behind the business, behind the cranes and behind all the ambition, there’s a life we’ve built together.

She is the light in my soul. ❤️

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, but I’m even prouder of who I get to build it with.

There’s actually a funny story behind John’s start at FJ Crane Hire…

📞 Phone rings…

John: “Where are you?”
Phil: “Excuse me… who’s this?” 😂
John: “I’ve just moved up from London and I’m looking for a job.”
Phil: “Oh… okay! Here’s our address, come round for a brew!” ☕️🤣

And from that day… he basically never left. 😂

What started with a random phone call and inviting a complete stranger into our home turned out to be one of the best gambles we’ve ever taken 👀🤣

John has been an absolute asset ever since and has become a huge part of not only FJ Crane Hire, but the FJ family. ❤️

Thank you, John, for all your hard work, loyalty and commitment to us, the team and the business. It genuinely doesn’t go unnoticed. 💪🏻🏗️
