The Orion spacecraft isn’t always standing on a launch pad — sometimes, it moves quietly along ordinary roads. 🚛✨

As it rolled by on a flatbed, spectators gathered to catch a rare, up-close look at a spacecraft designed for journeys to the Moon.

No countdown.
No roaring engines.
Just raw engineering passing by in silence.

And somehow… that makes it even more surreal.

Seeing deep-space hardware outside of space — among everyday streets and people — blurs the line between science fiction and reality. 💫

Congratulations to Blue Origin who have launched the first all-women crew, an effort to inspire the next generation of explorers. Rewind back 15 years and if that happened then the media covering this would be fever pitch and kids in school would see this as their way to access space. It looks like a piece of cake to get a rocket into orbit and bring it down safely, but that's a different matter.
Now it's deemed as another publicity stunt.
It's up to us now as space companies in the private sector to push forward with bringing humanity into the cosmic family. Maybe from space people can realise how fragile that thin blue line of Earth's is and to do something about the state of our polluted planet when they land back.

In a few months time NASA’s Orion spacecraft, incorporating ESA’s European Service Module (ESM-1), will launch an uncrewed return mission to the Moon. This will be a large step towards creating new cislunar and lunar technologies that will improve our understanding of the universe, our environment and change the way we live our lives.

The European Space Agency is playing a vital role in humankind’s return to the Moon. In a few months, NASA will launch Artemis I from the Kennedy Space Center. The uncrewed mission will carry NASA’s Orion spacecraft incorporating ESA’s European Service Module (ESM-1), built and tested by Airbu...
