Market Update: Solar Module Pricing Expected to Increase Following China VAT Rebate Changes

Global solar module pricing is likely to see upward pressure following recent changes to China’s export VAT rebate policy and rising raw material costs.
China has reduced the export VAT rebate on solar products from 13% to 9%, with further reductions expected and some manufacturers preparing for the rebate to be fully removed (0%) on the 1st of April 2026.

This effectively increases export costs for manufacturers and is beginning to feed through into module pricing globally.

At the same time, rising silver prices are increasing PV cell production costs, particularly across high-efficiency N-type technologies, where silver remains a critical material in cell metallisation.

Combined with strengthening global demand and supply-side adjustments, this signals a shift away from the historic module pricing lows seen over the past 12–18 months.

For EPCs, developers, and installers, securing supply and pricing early will be key to maintaining project cost certainty. Solar Renewable Hub continues to work closely with manufacturing partners to support customers with reliable supply and forward pricing.

Warehouse Operative/Driver – Solar Renewable Hub
Location: Llangefni, Anglesey
Salary: £13 per hour
Contract: 30 hours per week (flexible, with potential for additional hours)

Solar Renewable Hub is expanding, and we’re looking for a Warehouse Operative/Driver to join our team! As a leading supplier of solar and renewable energy products, we need a reliable and hardworking individual to assist with warehouse operations and deliveries of solar panels and heavy goods across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely load, transport, and deliver solar panels and equipment to customers.

Assist with warehouse duties, including stock management, picking, and packing orders. Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.

Operate lifting equipment (training can be provided).
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
Requirements:

Must be over 25 years old with a clean UK driving licence (for insurance purposes). Physically fit and able to handle heavy goods.

Flexible with working hours – additional hours available based on workload.

Warehouse experience is essential, with solar/renewable energy warehouse experience preferred.

Forklift licence is not required, but would be highly beneficial. If you do not have one, training opportunities may be available.

What We Offer:

Competitive £13 per hour rate.

30-hour contract, with potential for extra hours. Opportunity to work in the growing renewable energy sector. Supportive team environment with room for growth.
