Meet the OTHER Rob! 👋

This week, we're introducing Rob Ward, our Technical Manager here at RJW Electrical Services Limited! ⚡

Rob lives with his partner and their two kids, loves all things technical and enjoys nothing more than a good challenge (even if it means making simple things a little more complicated than they need to be! 😂).

🔧 What does he love about his job? Every day is different! Rob enjoys solving technical problems, tackling challenges and seeing a job through from start to finish.

☕ Coffee of choice? A mocha – because who needs sugar when you've got chocolate?!

🎵 Song on repeat? Honest by Dermot Kennedy.

🍽️ Favourite food? Steak, baby potatoes and tenderstem broccoli – a seriously underrated vegetable!

🌍 Dream holiday? Somewhere hot, with a cold b**r and plenty to keep him busy. Sitting still isn't really Rob's thing!

🦸 Superpower of choice? Being able to fix absolutely anything just by looking at it. Imagine the money he'd save on tools… and the amount of swearing he'd avoid! 😂

We're lucky to have Rob on the team, bringing his technical know-how, problem-solving skills and enthusiasm to every job.

The Government are ending the Solar VAT Scheme in March. At the moment it is 0% VAT on all solar and battery installations. As it stands from 1st April 2027 the Government have announced that the VAT will increase to 5%.

Resulting in a £10,000 installation increasing to £10,500.

Solar PV tip during the storm ⚡

Have you checked your solar system? Do you know if it’s still working?

If your inverter or app is showing “Off-Grid” or “Grid Volt Fault”, it could simply be a tripped breaker or RCD.

Have a look at your consumer unit (fuse board) and check if anything has tripped. If everything looks safe and dry, with no signs of damage, you can try resetting it.

If it trips again, don’t keep resetting it.

Any issues or unsure about anything, give us a shout!
