Recruitment is getting faster. But is it getting better?
AI can now help recruiters search for candidates, match profiles, summarise CVs, screen applicants and automate parts of the workflow.
That's powerful.
But there's a bigger question:
What happens when we optimise recruitment for speed — but forget about judgement?
At Mars Outsourcing, we use AI as an additional layer of validation, not as the final decision-maker.
For example, after sourcing candidates from job boards and LinkedIn, we can use AI to compare the candidate's experience, skills and background against the job description.
It helps us spot:
Relevant → Partially relevant → Poor match
Then comes the human review.
Because a CV can show experience.
It can't tell you everything about the person behind it.
The future of recruitment isn't necessarily AI vs recruiters.
It's:
AI for efficiency.
Recruiters for judgement.
Humans for relationships.
And that's where recruitment technology gets interesting.
Where are you currently using AI in your recruitment workflow — and where would you never let AI make the final call?
