HIghlights of our Hampstead Village Apartment. This home was a quirky one. It had odd shaped niches and irregualr walls. We optimised it, not only to ensure each inch was maximised practically but made full impact on style too.

This house is situated in a 1950s terrace hidden away behind a mansion block on Exhibition Road in Kensington. This clean no fuss complete refurbishment gives a nod to a 50s spirit with open plan spaces more akin to Los Angeles than London. The heritage is also articulated in subtle interior details and materials throughout including stepped skirting and coving

The spatial organisation of this property was fully reconfigured to include a central staircase, allowing circulation around the entire house.

The central staircase, fully clad in oak veneer, acts as a focal point; the spaces created contain fully concealed storage for coats, bespoke joinery such as built in bar, and a guest washroom. The meticulous detailing of the fully bespoke stair (with integrated lighting in the handrail) establishes a crisp and refined feel to the house as soon as one walks through the front door.

The flooring is a mid-stained oak, in herringbone, complementing the oak treads, and tying together the darker wenge veneer used to clad the kitchen cabinets. The custom kitchen island is finished with a luxurious polished marble, detailed to avoid any visible joints. A dining space connects the living area, which is fitted with bespoke joinery finished in a mix of marble and timber.

The location of the stair core gives the upper bedrooms even proportions, something much sought after in a mews house. Solid timber beams have been re-instated in the apex of the roof in the master bedroom, adding character to this beautiful property.

Bathrooms are finished with Carrara marble and light grey veneer look custom designed vanity units.

A mix of warm timber materials and marble, as well as reinstating original features and adding contemporary design, make this a truly unique and elegant home.

or a family of six, the slightly dilapidated 1930s property they had purchased just didn’t quite do it for them. Both in terms of space and décor, the property could be said to have been lacking. But a full renovation, loft conversion and back and side extension increased the floor area by around 50%, giving them the light-filled family home they desired.

Modern Extension - Moore Park Road

The renovation of this five storey Georgian house in Chelsea involved a radical series of side, rear and roof level extensions and a full subterranean excavation. Completed in 2015, the practice relished the challenges of such an enormous rebuild, much of which was below the water table. Moore Park House, set on an ‘L’ shaped plot with dual street entrances, now encompasses 5000 square feet of living space spanning six floors. From the concrete soffits of the gym, sauna and media rooms at basement level to the wall to wall glass of the sixth floor living room with views reaching the London Eye, this house is truly unique.
