BY COUNTY OR CITY
The Kent prototype is working, meaning you will soon be able to find venues, scenes and what is going on, and what has happened, in any city or county across the country.
We will roll out to other areas once we are confident everything is stable.

It has been an honour watching Dawn Cole bring it all together over many years, and we are looking forward to finally seeing it all exhibited together for the first time.

I am completely unconvinced that the Labour government has a serious grasp of the infrastructure demands created by modern technology.

Putting a data centre in the middle of Brick Lane is a deeply questionable idea. The same concerns apply in Kent, although Southfleet at least has some proximity to the river.

Large data centres should be planned as critical national infrastructure, not treated as ordinary property developments. That means considering grid capacity, cooling, water use, flood risk, waste heat, transport, and the long-term impact on nearby communities from the outset.

As with nuclear power stations, the location of large data centres should be determined by their enormous energy and cooling requirements, not by whichever option generates the quickest return for developers and investors. Sites close to rivers or the sea should be the obvious starting point, alongside closed-loop cooling, air cooling and direct integration with renewable energy.
Excess heat should also be captured and reused wherever possible. Heated lidos in Scandinavian countries are one example of turning the waste heat generated by these monsters into a genuine community benefit.

Too many decisions favour developers and investors while leaving local communities to absorb the consequences for decades. It will not work.

We are planning twenty-first-century digital infrastructure with twentieth-century thinking. That is the real madness. John

LOVE WILL SAVE THE WORLD
What a gorgeous night. Knickers.
Watching emerging talent shift from the “emerging” bracket into the next gear of their career is beautiful to behold. The lyrics of many songs tonight were beyond. A privilege to be in the audience.
