This recently completed project in Canary Wharf, London, involved the survey of four buildings, with a combined façade area of approximately 20,000 square metres and heights ranging from 10 to 17 storeys.
Using the Leica TS16 1" Robotic Total Station and Leica RTC360 Laser Scanner, our team collected a comprehensive dataset of the existing building conditions to support the production of:
• Topographical Survey Plans
• Existing Floor Plans
• Façade Elevations
• Point Cloud Deliverables
Commissioned by a specialist façade contractor, the survey was undertaken to provide accurate existing-condition information for façade design, co-ordination, fabrication and installation.
From data capture on site to the delivery of detailed survey information, projects such as this demonstrate the value of accurate surveying in supporting informed design and construction decisions.
