We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Roofers, Roof Tilers, Slater, you will be responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of roofs on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your primary tasks will include installing various roofing materials, such as tiles, shingles, and slates, to create durable and weather-resistant roofs. Additionally, you will be involved in inspecting roofs for damage, identifying areas that require repair, and performing necessary repairs to ensure structural integrity and waterproofing.
Key Responsibilities:
Roof Installation: Execute the installation of roofing materials according to project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to safety standards.
Repair and Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections of roofs to assess damage and determine the appropriate repair methods. Perform repairs promptly to prevent further deterioration and maintain the longevity of the roof.
Material Handling: Handle and transport roofing materials safely and efficiently to the work site, ensuring they are properly stored and utilized during construction or repair projects.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries while working at heights and using specialized equipment.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the roofing team, including contractors, supervisors, and laborers, to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any additional requirements or changes.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and any relevant notes or observations for future reference.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in roofing, roof tiling, or slating preferred.
Proficiency in the use of roofing tools and equipment, such as hammers, nail guns, and ladders.
Strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and safety protocols.
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
Working Hours:
Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
Salary:
Annual salary of £28,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
- Construct and assemble wooden structures, such as doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture
- Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions
- Install hardware, such as hinges and locks
- Fit and install prefabricated parts to form completed structures
- Repair or replace damaged or defective parts
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client specifications
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to complete projects
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Skills:
- Proficient in roof construction and repair techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and carry materials as needed
- Knowledge of masonry work for foundation preparation and brickwork installation
- Experience as a carpenter, including framing, finishing, and trim work
- Familiarity with painting techniques for finishing surfaces
- Basic plumbing skills for installing fixtures and connecting water supply lines

Job Responsibilities

- Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, or other similar materials to construct or repair walls, foundations, chimneys, and other structures

- Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine specifications and layout of masonry work

- Measure and cut materials to the required size using hand tools or power tools

- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto the surfaces being worked on

- Use trowels, levels, and other tools to ensure the accuracy and levelness of the masonry work

- Apply weatherproofing and finishing coats to protect the masonry work from the elements

- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in masonry work

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a brick mason or similar role

- Proficient in working with hand tools such as trowels, levels, hammers, chisels, etc.

- Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and other masonry materials

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods of time

- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Skills:

- Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, levels, hammers, chisels, etc.

- Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and other masonry materials

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings
