The CISRS Scaffolding Labourer Card certifies that an individual has the necessary training to support scaffolding operations safely. Holders of this card are permitted to perform labouring and driving duties related to scaffolding but are not authorized to erect, alter, or dismantle scaffolding structures. To obtain the card, applicants must complete the one-day CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS) course and pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test, both within the last two years. The card is valid for five years and requires renewal by retaking the COTS course and the CITB HS&E test or holding an accepted exemption.
