Your own private gym, just steps from the back door.

This completed garden room in Epsom is an open plan space, with one end all about training. There is an exercise bike, a rowing machine, free weights and a full mirrored wall, plus a mount for hanging a boxing bag when it is time to let off some steam.

Then the best bit. The equipment can be moved out of the way, the electronic dartboard comes into play and the gym becomes the perfect spot for darts night with friends.

That is the beauty of a well built garden room. One space, designed to suit every part of how you live.

Every great garden room starts below ground.

These are our screw pile foundations, all in and perfectly level. Screw piles give a strong, stable base with very little disruption to the garden. That means no big excavations, no heaps of spoil and no waiting around for concrete to cure.

Getting this stage right is what lets us deliver a premium finish later on. When the base is level, every wall, door and window that follows sits exactly where it should.

It might not be the most glamorous part of the build, but it is one of the most important. Watch this space as the room starts to take shape.

A blank canvas, ready to be filled.

This brand new garden room is about to become a dedicated home office with its own shower room. It gives our clients a space that works just as well for a focused day at the desk as it does for freshening up after a run or a gym session.

The exterior is finished in Millboard cladding, which has the look and texture of real timber without the upkeep. There is no staining, no treating and no worrying about rot, just a clean finish that stays looking good year after year.

Two parts of a garden room most people never see once it’s finished

1️⃣ Ground screws
Instead of digging out and pouring a concrete base, we screw steel foundations straight into the ground. It means less digging, less mess in the garden, no waiting for concrete to cure, and the job starts moving faster.

2️⃣ Steel internal walls
Our partition walls are framed in steel rather than timber. Steel stays straight and true. It won’t warp, twist or shrink as the room settles, so walls stay square and finishes stay crisp for years.

The finished room is what everyone sees, but these hidden parts decide how well it holds up over time.

Sometimes it is good to put the tools down and enjoy some time together.

Last Friday, we closed the laptops, downed the tools and took the afternoon and evening off to spend some time together as a team.
A few drinks, a great curry and plenty of laughs.
