Internal works being completed on a site in central London for a refurbishment hotel project. Mechanical fixings for all stones being installed no matter what height or size. The joints are to be siliconed as opposed to grouting.

The very attractive & then slightly risqué view of what happens behind the finished face? Our precast coping covers in Pic 1 & then Pic 2 shows the EPDM, a section of vertical firestop, insulation, bracketry & the dowels & restraints that all installed prior to stone or precast. Pic 3 shows an area that has to be left until the scaff if struck but still showing how we resin the stone to the corbel support brackets plus the dowel / paddle restraints. All clever stuff ;-) Final pic displays a run of EPDM behind the corbel brackets and to the front edge of the soffit detail. (anyone notice the thermal brake details from Farrat?)

We have installed, Portland base bed, Molianos, Faience & granite to this project but we have also installed the metsec framing support, the firestops, the insulation, the vapour barrier and all the corbel / soffit / coping / ashlar support bracketry.
