📰 The Offshore magazine is featuring our collaboration with 2H Offshore on how Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) can provide a sustainable and cost-effective solution to extend subsea tiebacks to marginal deepwater fields. ⚡

🌊 By deploying OTEC Floating Installations (OFIs), operators gain access to clean, continuous baseload power directly offshore, removing the need for long umbilicals, booster pumps, and diesel generation. Our analysis shows that OFIs can reduce tieback costs by up to 48% beyond 20 km, while also supporting power, chemicals, and water injection at the field.

🍃 This approach has the potential to unlock new value in offshore oil and gas development, while advancing the sector’s decarbonisation objectives.
