On this World Environment Day, we’re proud to share an initiative will significantly reduce plastic waste across our drilling operations.

In partnership with Mudex Drilling Fluids, we are transitioning away from traditional plastic drilling fluid containers and adopting the Enviro Pack Eco Drum™ and Eco Bucket™, an innovative alternative made from FSC-certified and recycled cardboard.

Currently, drilling fluid packaging accounts for around 70–80% of plastic waste generated on mineral exploration drill rigs. More than 99.9% end up in landfill or incineration.

After extensive field testing across our operations, Mudex’ products have proven durable and effective while reducing plastic usage by up to 95%.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this initiative to life. Sustainability is about practical action, collaboration and finding solutions that create long-term impact. By supporting the scale-up of these solutions, we hope to help accelerate broader adoption across the industry over time.

Congratulations Nabintou, reigning African Taekwondo champion!🏆

We are so excited to learn that Nabintou won gold in her weight class at the African Continental Championships, held in Bamako, Mali. This was her first time competing in this competition and this is a well-deserved result for her.

We are sponsoring Nabintou through the Lvolution Academy in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Lvolution trains young athletes from disadvantaged backgrounds in martial arts including Karate and Taekwondo, providing opportunities not only to train and compete, but also to receive an education. It has now developed a number of national and world champions, including Olympians and Paralympians.

Well done on this result and we can't wait to see you continue your journey Nabintou - our team at Capital are behind you all the way!

🌟Not all heroes wear capes - some run the stores!🌟

Shout out to our stores team at our Bulyanhulu operations in Tanzania, Boniface Chacha (Stores Supervisor), Andrew Obbasanjo (Stores Manager, Cyprian Moses (Storeman) and Dyness Msofu (Stores Assistant), for maintaining such an immaculate and well-organised workspace, a true reflection of the pride, dedication and high standards they bring to site every day.

It’s a part of the operation you don’t often see in the photos, but well-managed stores are vital to keeping our operations running smoothly.

By maintaining stock levels of critical spares and consumables, the team helps minimise downtime, support faster maintenance turnaround and ensure equipment remains operating reliably in the field.

Thanks to the team for all your efforts and being a critical part of our performance.

We recognise local communities as essential partners and we’re proud to share a recent initiative delivered by our team at the Belinga Project in Gabon, supporting local schools near our drilling activities for Ivindo Iron.

Working closely with Ivindo Iron, the Direction d’Académie Provinciale (DAP) de L’Ogooué-Ivindo, and representatives from Gabon’s Ministry of National Education, we donated educational materials and stationery to M’Vhadi School and Mayibouth 1 & 2 Schools.

Across the three schools, donations included textbooks, mathematics and language learning materials, notebooks, attendance registers, chalk, pens, paper, scissors, staplers, and other essential classroom supplies to help support students and teachers alike.

Representatives attending the donations ceremonies included Mr Mba (Head of School District Service); Ms Nfono Asseko (Deputy DAP); Mr Saturday (Office Manager); Mr Jean Bruno (Ivindo Iron Community Leader).

The initiative forms part of our broader commitment to supporting community development objectives aligned with government priorities and our key CSI pillars: Quality Education, Health & Wellbeing, and Economic Growth.

We’d like to thank our client representatives, in particular Gaetan Rebouka (Community Investment Advisor, Ivindo Iron) and Martin Edwards (Principal - Communities - Belinga Iron Ore Project, Fortescue), the DAP de L’Ogooué-Ivindo, school principals, and all community stakeholders involved in making this initiative possible.

o everyone coming together to celebrate Eid Al-Adha, we hope the season is filled with joy, peace and prosperity.

This week, our Sukari team was proud to continue a tradition that has now spanned 11 years, distributing 750kg of meat across the Marsa Alam community.

Together, we were able to support many families during this important time of celebration, further strengthening the long-standing bond between our team at Sukari and the people of Marsa Alam. Sharing meaningful moments such as these with the community and supporting those around us remains a core part of who we are.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this year’s initiative to life, especially our dedicated kitchen crew, employees and the local community committee, whose incredible support and cooperation made this large-scale effort possible.

We are delighted to have recently supported our local Marsa Alam community, close to our Sukari operations, through the construction of a public square.

Our contribution supported the broader National Project for Beautifying Public Squares Across All Egyptian Governorates and will have a direct impact on many in the local community.

The opening ceremony held on 20 May, was attended by key representatives from the local government, our client AngloGold Ashanti, as well as our employees from Capital and MSALABS.

Mr. Mohamed Hamed (Head of the City President’s Office and Director of the Environmental Department) delivered a speech on behalf of Major General Hazem Khalil, Head of Marsa Alam City, expressing strong appreciation for Capital’s contributions to the city. Mr. Hamed highlighted our role in supporting community development initiatives, including urban beautification, environmental improvements, and healthcare support.

We’re proud to share an update on our partnership with Don Bosco Technical Training College in Zambia, led by our team at Mingomba, Zambia, and delivered in collaboration with Mingomba Mining Limited.

Focused on expanding economic opportunities for local communities, the initiative is helping equip young people with practical, industry-relevant skills through upgraded training facilities and fully funded student scholarships across multiple trades.

We’re honoured to share a message from Principal Fr. David Njolo on the impact of the partnership:

“The partnership between Capital Limited and Don Bosco Technical College has been truly invaluable to our institution. Beyond financial support, they have generously given their time, expertise, and genuine commitment to improving the lives of our students and future generations.

Their team has consistently demonstrated a hands-on approach, supporting us through both virtual and in-person engagement, sharing technical skills to enhance the safety and quality of our workshops and training facilities. What stands out most is their responsiveness, professionalism, and the care with which they approach every interaction.

Capital has gone above and beyond the initial scope of our collaboration, showing a sincere interest in building a long-term partnership. From attending our 2025 graduation ceremony to supporting plans for student exposure through site visits, their dedication is evident.

We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the impact it has already made. We look forward to continuing this journey together and to the many students whose futures will be positively shaped through this collaboration.”

Working in remote exploration environments means preparedness is critical.

We’re proud to highlight another important safety initiative delivered for our Egypt Exploration team organised by Ahmed Shawqy, Senior HSE Officer.

Recognising the challenges of working in remote locations, team members recently completed comprehensive first aid training, combining practical and theoretical learning, with certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

The initiative follows the team’s recent completion of certified firefighting training, continuing to strengthen their emergency response capabilities and ensuring they are well equipped to respond confidently and effectively in the field.
