Project Progress Update – Aim for the Skies! 🏗️
We are pleased to share the steady progress achieved so far at our St Helens Bus Interchange project.
As the complexity of the works continues to grow, so does the need for precision, coordination, and teamwork at every level.
When your installation starts from 8 metres above floor level, success depends on far more than just good hands on site. It means synchronising access, lifting equipment, materials, labour, and programme requirements — all while working in harmony with other trades operating in the same busy environment. It is a constant balancing act, and one that only works when every part of the team is fully engaged.
At this stage, we feel it is important to pause and recognise the people and companies working behind the scenes to make progress possible, so we can take a deep breath to regain our strength and remain focused on what’s still to come.
A sincere thank you goes to Orhan Keleshev, our site supervisor, who often stays on site after the team of fitters leaves to ensure all critical equipment is put on charge, the next day's activities can commence on time, and all glass panels on stillages are secured. The thankful list goes on with our fitters, logistics and lifting personnel, who keep wearing their hard hats and help with the good work progress in the ever-challenging weather conditions this early summer has brought in St Helens.
Behind every project of this nature, there’s also a wide network of people to extend our gratitude to — designers, procurement teams, senior management, finance, glass manufacturers, haulage and logistics partners working day in, day out alongside Vinci’s site logistics and management teams. Every one of them contributes knowledge, effort, and commitment to keeping the project progressing safely and effectively.
We all understand there are no small roles in a project of this scale. Every contribution matters.
10k words will not be able to describe our pride and accomplishment feelings better than the project photo gallery we are inviting you to browse below: https://onfacades.co.uk/project/st-helens-bus-interchange-glass-canopies
Last but not least, I extend my appreciation to Novum Structures for going the extra mile in prioritising safety and offering us the chance to work with the most innovative tools available in the market.
This is no small feat, especially when nowadays fewer and fewer facade contractors fear taking the leap of faith in staying in the tier-one range of professional ex*****on of their works and prioritise less the means of delivering a project to stay competitive in a smaller and smaller budget range and relevance.
