We are pleased to share official photos of Nathan and Emily at the Dorset Apprenticeship Awards 2026!

The first photo features Sir Christopher Chope, MP for Christchurch, Emily Stanford, our Multi-Channel Marketing Apprentice, and Cleeves Palmer Esq, Deputy Lieutenant.

The second photo includes all VIPs, representatives, and providers, with Nathan Upshall proudly representing Excel Energy. Guess which person is Nathan…

At Excel Energy, we are committed to supporting apprenticeships and the valuable opportunities they create across our industry. Many of our team members began their careers as apprentices and have since developed into skilled professionals, demonstrating the long-term value of these programs. The Dorset Apprenticeship Awards play a crucial role in recognising the achievements of current apprentices and those who have completed their training.

Our Managing Director at Excel Energy, Nick Neza, was once an electrical apprentice himself. Nick says:

“If you are an apprentice right now and you are struggling and wondering if it's all worth it - don't give up. The grit and determination you are building today are just setting you up for a good future ahead. Kudos to all the apprentices.”

Nathan and Mohammed participated in the Sigenergy Installer Training Day and Land Rover Driving Experience, expanding their expertise in advanced commercial energy storage solutions.

CCL organised the event and featured leading brands such as Sigenergy and Schletter. The event featured expert-led product training, live demonstrations, and in-depth technical sessions, equipping the Excel Energy team with enriched knowledge to further strengthen our delivery of high-quality renewable energy systems.

The event was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with other industry professionals and explore new innovations shaping the renewable energy sector.

Nathan and Mohammed concluded the day with an off-road Land Rover experience, marking the end of a productive and informative session in Devon! 🚗

Excitement is in the air at Excel Energy as Nathan and Emily head to the Dorset Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony 2026 today!

Many people think apprentices go to work and then head home at 5pm to unwind, but that's far from the truth. Across Dorset, apprentices put in extra hours after work, dedicating their evenings to further study and skill development.

Behind the scenes, many face personal challenges, showing resilience and determination. They constantly strive for further achievements, pushing themselves forward day after day to shape their futures and contribute to their communities.

This prestigious event celebrates the exceptional achievements of apprentices across Dorset, and the entire team is cheering Emily on for her dedication and hard work.

Good luck, Emily!

Government funding has enabled the installation of 1,400 EV charging points at UK schools, marking a significant step forward in decarbonising school transport. While walking remains an effective way to lower emissions, we recognise that for many families, driving is essential.

By investing in on-site EV charging infrastructure, schools can make electric transport more accessible, reduce their carbon footprint, and actively contribute to the UK’s sustainability targets.

Every step towards sustainable travel – whether walking, cycling, or driving, an EV helps create a healthier environment for future generations.

As we celebrate Walk to School Week, let’s continue to drive progress by supporting both active travel and EV charging solutions in schools.

If you represent a school, college, or educational business, contact our renewable energy specialists to learn how EV charging can support your sustainability goals.

We’re overjoyed to see our clients achieving fantastic results, with some reaching an estimated £1,760,000 in net profit over 25 years.

It’s a great reminder of how reliable solutions can drive long-term success and help businesses thrive.

If you’re looking to boost your business’s long-term growth, we’d love to help you get there. Our friendly team is here to offer a free, no-obligation desktop consultation and share how our renewable energy solutions can make a real difference for you.
