Angel Central is a stunning example of how innovative design and expert craftsmanship can elevate an existing space to new heights. As a key contributor to the regeneration project, Chiltern Contracts worked closely with our client, Red Construction, to install various Sto render systems to the building's external walls, covering over 600m2 of area.

Our expert craftsmen installed an insulated Sto Render system, light metal substructure, metal copings, and flashings, ensuring a seamless blend with the building's modern aesthetic. The Sto render system not only added to the building's durability but also improved insulation and energy efficiency, providing a sustainable and cost-effective solution.

Our commitment to quality, attention to detail, and innovative solutions have made us a trusted partner in the construction industry. Our team installed Silver Emperador marble for the vanity units and feature walls in the bathrooms, and the Calacatta Aurelia range was also selected to complement the sophisticated, contemporary design of the kitchen areas. The spa, designed by acclaimed contemporary artist Brian Clark, features stained-glass ceilings and ceramic tiled walls that create a radiant, color-drenched indoor paradise designed to soothe the senses. Our team worked diligently to ensure that the waterproofing membranes and tiles were installed to the highest standard, providing guests with a serene and tranquil environment to enjoy. An iconic hotel in the heart of Bloomsbury.

Chiltern Contracts was awarded an internal works package as part of the Kimpton Fitzroy (formerly The Russell Hotel) refit, including screeding, tanking, and the installation of marble and stone tiles to bathroom areas across the development.

The Kimpton Fitzroy was completed in 2018 as an £80m refit of the iconic Russell Hotel, known for its shared internal architecture with the RMS Titanic and as the namesake of the Russell Group of Universities. The hotel boasts 334 rooms, including 39 luxury suites and an illustrious ballroom, alongside several private meeting rooms.

Chiltern Contracts carried out the works in accordance to design particulars and liaised with the main contractor throughout the process to deliver a package that included screeding, tanking, and stone application. The works consisted of the installation of marble & ceramic wall & floor tiles into 334 guest rooms, ranging from 172-square-foot City Singles to a 915-square-foot suite. Calacatta Crema marble was installed on the bathroom floors, complimented by crackled glazed ceramics on the walls and a light grey grout to finish.

Chiltern Contracts completed a £2.6m package of internal and external works at the 80 Charlotte Street development in Fitzrovia, London, for Multiplex. The project included screeding, tiling, waterproofing, and external cladding for the commercial and residential areas. The development encompasses over 380,000 sq ft, including 322,000 sq ft of office space, 43,000 sq ft of residential space, and 12,000 sq ft of retail space, and incorporates sustainable features such as Air Source Heat Pumps and solar thermal panels. Chiltern Contracts was also awarded 'Sub Contractor of the Month four times during the project.

We are excited to share our involvement in the amazing transformation of 50 Bank Street. Our team successfully completed the rejuvenation of the reception lobby, the installation of new entrances and canopies, and the creation of new cycle storage and shower facilities. We take pride in our contribution to this project and are honoured to have been a part of it.
The reception lobby now features a stunning new marble floor and a feature wall composed of metallic fins, which continue up onto the ceiling. The wall also includes a tile matrix that closely matches the existing structure behind the timber and stone cladding. To complete the modern and sophisticated look, the lobby also includes two new reception desks and an illuminated artwork on the end wall of the lift lobby.

Outside, we removed the existing glass canopies and rotating doors to create a new single entrance with sliding doors and an illuminated canopy. We also made repairs to spalled cladding at ground level and created a new side entrance. In addition, we converted a previous parking space into new cycle storage and shower facilities.

Throughout the project, we paid close attention to detail and quality, using re-purposed marble panels for the reception floor and carefully selecting materials and finishes that complemented the existing structure. We also worked closely with the design team to ensure that the finished product met the client's expectations while adhering to the project's budget and timeline.

We are thrilled to have been part of this project, which has transformed 50 Bank Street into a modern and welcoming space for all who enter.
