Upon looking at the dilapidated ruins of this Warwickshire blacksmith's forge, crumbling and covered in vegetation, it would be hard to envision a modern family home.

When it was identified that the structure was suffering from a number of structural faults, it was clear that the building needed an experienced helping hand to restore it back to life.

Historic buildings that have fallen into disrepair, such as the Grade 1 Listed Sherborne House in Dorset, often need repairs which are not only sympathetic to the buildings aesthetic, but also meet strict planning permission requirements.

Helifix's fully concealed repair solutions were chosen to stabilise the Tudor wing of the mansion, which was originally constructed in 1570, and needed to maintain its striking original aesthetic appearance.

Prior to it's conversion into a modern home, this 100 year old dilapidated brick barn situated in Gloucestershire had countless structural faults.

A thorough solution was needed to provide sympathetic repairs to all aspects of the structure, including cracked masonry, failing arches and lintels, and unstable walls, to ensure the construction of a safe yet stylish home.

Featuring on Channel 4's Grand Designs, this derelict barn positioned in the stunning Gloucestershire countryside was initially unstable, with the ambitious restoration plans including retaining the original building's structure, whilst also constructing an additional below-ground "stealth" house.

When it was identified by the owners that this dilapidated barn, situated in Wellington, Somerset, had rotten timbers, bowing and leaning walls, as well as a gable end which had rotated and separated from the main structure, an extensive repair solution was urgently required before conversion plans got the go-ahead.
