In the past three months, big office projects have been approved, like the £200 million Bermondsey Yards in south London and the £150 million London Wall West in the City of London.
Even though the total value of very large projects (worth £100 million or more) that got approved went down by 22% compared to the previous quarter, there was a 25% increase in approvals for smaller projects worth less than £100 million compared to last year.
Some of these smaller approved projects include a £33 million office on Leonard Street in Hackney, East London, and a £54 million office on Fountain Street in Belfast. This is good news for construction companies because there are more opportunities to work on these smaller but numerous projects.
