We had a pleasure building this home from A to Z to our beloved friends from BIG7express. 📦

There we solved 2 fundamental challenges:
💡 How to makes sure that not only working space but also a lounge zone would fit in these square meters? Without sacrificing the personal space of an employee.
💡 How to guarantee natural light would reach each working space from dusk till dawn.

People often ask, why BIG 7? What’s big and what’s seven about it? This question reached us for too many times, therefore we disclose the origins down here. 👇

The BIG 7 hides the reference to the most magnificent constructions ever built on our planet – 7 architectural wonders of the world. 🏛️

Observation of these grand constructions evoked a sudden epiphany – only intensive cooperation and hand-in-hand approach made it possible. 🤜

This realisation eventually brought Linas and Ed, acclaimed professionals, under one roof, where they share a similar understanding on design, construction, and general business mindset. A long-lasting friendship, common values and knowledge rather than fancy words. ✍️

The market has seen a rapid recovery lately. So did we. Currently, BIG 7 is involved in a number of projects, both internal and external.💪

Part of our staff has already returned to the brand new and unseen office. Management operates on-site. London seems to have revived completely. However, we must keep our heads cool and ensure all safety requirements are in place to keep the lockdown away.🧠

In recent weeks our online home was under construction. A lot of effort was put to make it more convenient, user-friendly and delightful in terms of aesthetics. 🛩️

Now it completely reflects the portrait of our organisation. The values we cultivate are maintained in the overall layout, graphic design pieces and, most importantly, each idea presented in paragraphs. 🖋️

When we talk about the housing market, it is necessary to distinguish London and the rest of the UK. Even though prices have fallen across the country, London has seen a growth in a couple of per cent. This growth was the result of the deals made before the quarantine. 💂

Economists predict prices will at least remain at the same level for some time. Obviously, this will not last for long, therefore, it is a good time to invest in real estate. London is London and soon enough housing prices should start climbing up.

As the proverb goes, practice what you preach. 💡 We had some extra time during the quarantine, thus implemented the internal project. A new warehouse was on our minds for quite some time. 🧠

The project lasted for 100 days, was completed with the maximum precaution and in line with newly established security regulations. 👌

Now BIG 7 can claim to own the most stylish warehouse where brutalism inspired surfaces and shapes connect with contemporary lighting solutions. 👨‍🎨

At BIG 7, the team is the essence of the organisation. Hence we consider teamwork as the core of our ecosystem. However, we do realise that sterling cooperation would not be possible without acknowledging each other as persons. 🎩

Therefore, to maintain the state of mutual understanding among colleagues, we connect in team-building activities regularly. 👌 Needless to say, this effort pays off in times of isolation and distancing. We hold online meetings for now and look back to the past with a sense of nostalgia.
