Weāre all grown up!! š£
This year (well, last month to be honest but we were so busy on sites that it skipped me by) marks Blue Figās 18th Birthday !!!šššš
I canāt quite believe that it was back in 2007 that I ventured out on my own into the office design and fit out industry - ācanāt be hardā I remember telling myselfā¦ā¦. Iāve learnt a lot of lessons working for myself that I donāt think I would have learnt working for someone else and while great highs are still sometimes very quickly followed by great lows, I can genuinely say I wouldnāt have had or have it any other way.
I got to drop the kids off at nursery and then primary school, went to all their assemblies and plays, had breakfast with them, spent time at home with all my family and get the work/ life balance just right.
Thank you to all the amazing clients, designers,consultants, sub- contractors , suppliers and freinds that have been on this rollercoaster with me but especially to my amazing supportive wife Beth Cox who was there from the beginning that drunken evening in Greece when the Blue Fig name was finally agreed on, and who has kept me upbeat when times were challenging and grounded when I got too excited and who, above all, encouraged me to ākeep on keeping onāšµ
