Tonight we have a full Blood Moon - a blood moon is when there is a total lunar eclipse during a full moon.
Although a blood moon doesn't directly effect the tides, during the few days after a full moon is when we see the biggest tidal ranges - called Spring Tides - where the moon's gravitational pull creates much bigger high tides and much lower low tides. That big surge of water in and out creates a huge amount of power - a power that we can harness to produce clean, renewable electricity.
