I started Canary Connections because I kept going to property networking events and leaving disappointed.

Too many pitches. Too many people who weren’t really active in the industry. Too little time actually spent with people who could move the needle.

𝗦𝗼 𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁. An invite-only event where I vet attendees - based on what they do, how active they are, and crucially, who they should meet (and who wants to meet them).

That’s still how it works today.

Because the moment you let that slip, the quality of the room changes - and so does the value of being in it.

I run quarterly events in London and Manchester, across both residential and commercial property, with a growing community of almost 3,000 people.

𝗟𝗔𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗢𝗢𝗡...

A new property networking event for developers and investors in the 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲, plus the expert professional teams advising them.

With the introduction of the Renters Rights Act compounding previous changes to taxation of rental income, I know lots of residential investors are considering getting into commercial property if they’ve not already done so.

But don’t listen to the gurus who tell you that commercial property is ‘simple’ - just buy an investment property on an FRI lease and ‘job done’!

‘You don’t know, what you don’t know’ as the saying goes.

The format will be the same as the residential events which have been running since 2018 (and which will continue).

Last week’s 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 event was pretty epic! 🥳 Well over 100 canaries in attendance.

Thanks to everyone who braved the cold to join us in our new City of London venue...another £600 raised for homelessness charity taking the total to just shy of £12,000! 😊
